Died after the first year

I have had this trimmer a little over a year and it just died. Even bought a new battery thinking the battery was the issue. Nope - pull the trigger and nothing. Will not be replacing it with another Black and Decker product.

Non working feeder.

The feed mechanism on my cordless trimmer does not work. When I try to feed more line nothing happens, I have to remove the cover on the spool and manually feed more line, then replace the cover. This happens every time more line needs to be released.

Do not last , think twice

Unit # 3 just failed , these are not lasting very long 🥲 they last less than a full season of residential use … My Grandfather was a brand advocate ALWAYS beloved in B&D said their products last a lifetime , he would be very disappointed . We should not have to replace yearly , The motors seized up and smoke paired out of it …

Model LSTE StringTtrimmer

I purchased the Black and Decker (model - LSTE523) string trimmer earlier this year and have used it very little. The trimmer itself works well, but the automatic line easy feed mechanism no longer works. MY overall rating would be much higher, if the automatic line easy feed option worked correctly.

My Review for 20V MAX* Lithium EASYFEED™ String Tr

I own both the Black & Decker String Trimmer/Edger and the Worx String Trimmer/Edger. After comparing both units I have found the B & D trimmer to be a better unit that the Worx unit. The B & D trimmer has a stronger battery to give you longer run time. Holds a heavier gauge trimmer line than the Worx trimmer. The B&D trimmer also has a much higher torque motor than the Worx unit. The B & D unit has made strides in quality, durability and design. Personally I favor by far the B & D trimmer/edger over the Worx trimmer /edger. Compare for yourself, you'll see, feel and experience the difference in design and quality.

Very frustrating

Bought several months ago and trimmer worked fine. About a month ago the trimmer started auto-feeding too much line. Trimmer automatically shuts down when there is too much line. I can manually cut the excess line and trimmer will operate for 10seconds until it auto feeds too much line and shuts down again. I have not been able to trim in the last month. I regret buying this product.

Easy to use, though a bit awkward re: the location of the button needed to enable one to activate the trimmer. I have an older Black and Decker that uses an 18 volt battery. My recent purchase (20 volt battery) seems to have less power. I am interested in gauging the performance over time, and assess how well the batteries retain power. Battery life and how long the battery retains its charge are important consideratins for me and its use on our .7 acre lawn
