Making life easier.

I bought this to replace the drill and electric screwdriver we had, and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. I can now drill what needs to be drilled, and not have a cord following me, getting tangled, and creating a mess. Switching from drill bit to screw is easy, and the battery keeps a decent charge. The biggest help it has been is with the fence repairs in the backyard. Several boards needed to be replaced or screwed back in place, and this made quick work of it. In the past, fence repair would be an all day affair. It only took a few hours.

Will not charge

Have never been able to use this drill because the battery will not charge. The charger just flashes red.

Very poor design, chuck keep loosening

Absolute junk!!! I have two of these drills and both of the chucks have started loosening on their own while using the clutch feature. It is to the point that the bit keeps falling out after only about 20 or so actuations of the clutch. Both drills have developed this problem with less than one year’s worth of VERY moderate use on them. I am very disappointed in Black and Decker. Which is really too bad because my previous 24v drill of 20+yrs was a Black and Decker that didn’t have a single issue until the day it finally died!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
