Bad batteries straight out the package

Was never even able to use this drill. This drill came with two batteries and BOTH of them wont charge straight out of the box. I get a fast, flashing red light on the charger when I try. Yes the batteries are secure on the charger, and I tried multiple outlets. I'm reluctant to buy another. battery when these ones are brand new and should work no problem.
Also, forcing me to sign up for email promotions in order to post a product review is ridiculous and that alone is motivating me to shop for other brands in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Great Cordless Drill for Everyday Household Use

I have 2 of these B & D cordless 20V drills and I love them. I keep a drill bit in 1 and a screw bit in the other all the time so that they are always ready to go and I also don't need to stop to change between drill bits and screw bits each time. They are not too heavy for me to hold and the battery seems to last a long time for my occasional use. I've banged them around some and they seem to take the beating and keep on going. I'm not sure about the torgue as that is not something that I understand well but for most of my around the house jobs, these drills do the trick for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

as time goes by they come out with a better battery, that last longer and is more powerfull. this is a great drill for the price and last for a long time.

Very poor design, chuck keep loosening

Absolute junk!!! I have two of these drills and both of the chucks have started loosening on their own while using the clutch feature. It is to the point that the bit keeps falling out after only about 20 or so actuations of the clutch. Both drills have developed this problem with less than one year’s worth of VERY moderate use on them. I am very disappointed in Black and Decker. Which is really too bad because my previous 24v drill of 20+yrs was a Black and Decker that didn’t have a single issue until the day it finally died!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will not charge

Have never been able to use this drill because the battery will not charge. The charger just flashes red.
