Worst case ever!

I've only had my IPhone 12 since January and I've had 3 cases so far. They keep cracking and breaking in the same spot around the side buttons.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for the heads-up on the recurring structural struggles you've been having with the Symmetry Series Case, Linda. Have there been any drops/impacts that would have given cause for such damage? Protection is always our top priority, but we don't actually engineer our cases to be indestructible in and of themselves so much as they're intended to absorb the brunt of any nasty spills that might take place.

The Otter Box Symmetry Series provides solid protection for my iPhone without being bulky & lasts for the life of my phone. After three years of use my iPhone still looks brand new. My only suggestion would be they make the clear case more scratch resistant for the long term use of the product.

Great Protection

I have used an Otterbox case since I got my first phone in 2013 and have never looked back. My most recent purchase was a case for my iPhone 12 in 2021 when I upgraded from my iPhone X where I also had an Otterbox case. This specific case is one that I enjoy because it is not as bulky, and it can fit in my pocket nicely. Even though the case is not as big, it is still protective and holds great on my phone. Something else I enjoy about the case is that no matter the design of the case, it does not affect how protective the case is. The same level of protection is shown throughout the designs and with so many options, there is something for everyone. I drop my phone a lot and it sometimes will fall off my bed, but no matter how many times it falls, there is never a scratch or crack on my phone and case. I have had the case since I bought the phone and over time the sides started to turn black, but I do not mind it because of how protective the case has been. I recently had to replace the original case that I bought because the bottom rubber started to come off, but I went online and was able to replace it and only pay the cost of shipping. I love that the cases have a warranty on them because not everything is going to last forever even a phone case. I would recommend the product because of the wide variety of options that they have. Even though the price is a lot for a phone case, the price shows in the final product. The case is protected and when I had a different branded case and dropped my phone once, it shattered the back screen, and ever since then, I have not taken off my otterbox case. I would recommend any Otterbox case to anyone who is looking for a new case that is protective and not too heavy where it feels like you are caring a brink in your pocket.

This clear cover is great. It fits well and was not difficult for me to snap on. I have had to take it off and it fits snug, but it is still easy to get off. The best part for me is the ease of pushing the side buttons. I had another Otterbox symmetry that was difficult to use the side buttons. This allows the buttons to be used without having to push several times. This case is sturdy and very well made. I have not had any yellowing of the cover. I only buy Otterbox because of their quality and durability. The symmetry series allows my phone to fit nicely into a pocket or purse without being bulky. It protects my phone very well. I have dropped my phone on concrete and tile floors and it is safe.

1 Star Because 0 Wasn't A Choice

I've used Otterbox for years and previously had this exact model for my iPhone 12 Pro for almost two years. I ordered an identical replacement simply because the clear edges were getting a little discolored, and within just a few weeks of having the new case, the back glass of my phone was completely shattered. Based on other recent reviews, Otterbox needs to look into its production, because these cases are no longer performing as promised, and they are absolutely not worth the money anymore. I've dropped this phone numerous times in my old Otterbox and not once did I have any damage that came close to what I experienced with my brand new case.The case itself only had a few nicks in it and was still under warranty, but the actual phone needed any entirely new back that cost me hundreds. I've always thought Otterbox was the best protection my phone could get, but based on this experience and the other reviews here, don't waste your money. The case might be fine if you drop it, but your phone won't.

The clear case allows the phones natural beauty to shine while ensuring it stays in perfect condition. These are the best.
