I am appalled!

Let me begin by saying I love my Cricut machines. I have or have had nearly all of them. I had the original Joy machine and when this one came out I was so excited that it could cut a letter sized cardstock paper. I am appalled at the fact that when my machine arrived, there is no carrier mat. I don’t believe it. It is shameful, that with a new machine arriving to my doorstep I am not able to use it as I need right out of the box. With all of my machines I have bought we have always been given at least one mat. Not with this one! Buyer beware! You will need to source your own mat, and with this machine being so new, mats at this point in time are scarce to say the least. I am disappointed in Cricut.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your feedback. The machine is designed with Smart Materials in mind. Please feel free to contact Member Care at https://cricut.com/contact if you require any support.
The size is compact, making it easy to fit into tight spaces while still being convenient for letter-size projects. It's perfect for anyone who needs to work with standard documents without sacrificing too much room. The device is incredibly user-friendly and versatile, capable of handling a variety of materials such as stickers, vinyls, and iron-on transfers. However, one minor drawback is that the Bluetooth connection can occasionally drop, requiring a quick re-connection. Overall, it's a great addition for creative projects!
Make sure you get mats when you purchase, if you plan to use paper and anything not listed as “Smart”! Love the size and ease of use! Absolutely a great products and size.

Love the new size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect size for the Joy...with the ability to print-then-cut, use 8.5"x11" paper and it uses all the same Joy accessories...win, win, win! The size & print-then-cut feature are the main differences between the Joy Xtra and original Joy machine. And, while it is slightly larger, it is still light and portable! This is a perfect machine for new-to-Cricut users, those with small spaces, or even tweens and teens wanting to start in the Cricut world! And, while I received the product from Cricut to test ahead of time and for my feedback, I am happy to report that it exceeds all expectations. The Joy Xtra is perfect for the home or on-the-go crafter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that they made the new Cricut Joy Xtra. I always found my Cricut Joy the easiest machine to use and I love that it is compact and easy to travel with, but the size of the projects I could made with it was restricted. I love that they came out with the Xtra! It's just a tad bigger than the Joy but just as compact and easy to travel with! I love that I have the same convenience of the Joy, but I can also make bigger projects for shirts, totes, etc. The best part is that it has Print then Cut features! What an awesome new addition to the Cricut family!
The joy extra is definitely my favorite Cricut machine to keep on my desk to make cards and stickers. I have a small crafting area and the maker is pretty big compared to my space while the Cricut joy wasn’t able to print then cut, even though it’s perfect for quick small things.
Make sure your computer will let you out of S Mode

I wish I could tell you if this machine is great or not. If I had known Design Space wouldn't be able to be downloaded onto my Windows 11 HP laptop because I can't get it to let me out of S mode and DS isn't available in the Microsoft store. I cannot see nor do this stuff on a phone, and I'm really annoyed & disappointed. I would have thought it was website based. It's too late to return it and I'm not about to buy a new laptop when this one is only a couple years old. I've tried every workaround I could find to get out of the stupid S Mode, nothing worked. So I got a great deal on something I can't even use.
