Good for basic security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good cameras for basic security and surveillance. They are small and easy to install. The directions to install were relatively simple to follow. It was hard to find a spot for the hard dive and would like a better picture on the cameras

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the Night Owl Security 2 Way Audio 12 Channel DVR Security System, I was excited to get it installed and begin using it. The security system took my husband about 2 1/2 hours to install. The instructions were easy to follow and were very clear on how to install the system. We began using the security system as soon as it was installed. It footage was very clear and we had a good view of all of our property. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a security system that is easy to install and use.

Doesn’t work with all their cameras

I have purchased two other night owl systems over the years and those systems came with two different camera models. The second system worked with the cameras that it came with (CM-DP8L-B) and the previous cameras (CM-C20XL-BU-JF) but this DVR does not work with the DP8L cameras.
Additionally, this DVD runs HOT!! Too hot to touch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
