I bought this GE unit in exchange for a larger, heavier, less efficient unit (different brand) that was delivered by the vendor with MAJOR damage. Thus far, my decision to return/replace the other unit (from the same vendor) has proved propitious.
Installation by my go-to handyman went smoothly. (I barely broke a sweat watching him install it.)
The unit is installed in a new, well-insulated 580 sq.ft. garage. (It's actually a jam band studio, but I park my cars in it when we are not "working.")
The unit is very quiet, cools the "garage" very quickly (in about an hour), and is quite adequate for the space.
I don't have a "read" on energy consumption just yet, but, since it doesn't run 24/7, I'm not too concerned about that anyway. However, one of the major selling features to me was the "Energy Star" rating. "Time" will tell the story on the efficacy of that rating...
So far, this GE AC unit exceeds my expectations.

We LOVE our new window unit, it keeps us cold. Purchased this to keeps us COLD in our bedroom. We have a home unit but we like it very cold in the bedroom.

All around awesome A/C!

Install was very easy. Light weight for the btu it puts out. App is good but needs updated. A remote sensor would be nice. Display is very good and menu easy to understand. Efficiency is the strongest trait along with the low noise level. Split up/down air direction vanes would be better than the single. All in all this is such a great project not!
