Our central air went out in the middle of a south Georgia heat wave. We scrambled to find something to cool down the house and so far this AC has been amazing!

Gets the job done

Very easy to install
Quiet mode works as advertised. It’s really quiet you can hardly hear it running.
It’s too loud when running it in normal setting ( Not quiet mode)
It gets the job done. This is the 2nd unit that I’ve bought from this company in 3 years and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality window a/c unit.
4 stars instead of five because of how loud the a/c is in the normal setting.

GE 14k BTU Inverter AC Unit

Purchased this AC unit to make our living room comfortable. The room is approximately 400 sq. ft. in size but open to a bathroom and our kitchen/dining area.
After some experimenting with different settings and setting up the Wifi app, I have discovered that the unit has no issues maintaining the living room between 70-72 degrees when set at 72 and on Cool/Low no matter what the temperature has been outside. Set like this the AC unit runs continuously but consuming a low amount of power. Eco mode is enabled as well. I didn't like the Auto modes because once the temp is reached the unit shuts off allowing uncomfortable temperature swings and actually uses more power on start up and increase wear on the internal components as well. The unit has only been in use for several weeks, so I can't speak for long-term durability and reliability. But so far I'm very pleased. The app isn't 100% perfect as sometimes it will have issues functioning, but has worked 98% of the time so far. I love that it shows the amount of Kwh of power used. Speaking of energy consumption, this inverter style AC has been very energy efficient as used so far and has made no real noticeable difference in my electric bill. Installation for my application was easy and so far am extremely pleased with the purchase. Two of these units strategically placed would do an excellent job of cooling the average sized home IMO.

Remote could be better

Great AC - one as nice is this you would hope there would be a back light on the remote. You have to use a flashlight to see all the settings. Or you can just tell Alexa how to set it. So far after a month of use, that's my only complaint.

The Best of both worlds!

For close to 10 yrs we have fought between a unit with enough BTU’s to cool our main living space as well as our master bedroom, and the distracting noise a unit of that size made. Not anymore, this GE Profile Inverter type AC is a godsend! It happens to be less BTU’s by about 1000btu, takes up a much smaller footprint in each window that they are installed in, and cool the desired spaces so well we actually get cold in the middle of the day! And at night, the quiet mode in the bedroom is just amazing. In fact, I kept getting up to check that it was actually still running! As a light sleeper trust me that means the world to me! Over all so much frustration has been lifted just simply by installing 2 of these units. One 10,000btu unit in the bedroom, and a 14,000 in the main living space. And don’t worry about it being too difficult to install, because the installation is straight forward, the instructions are not made to be complex, and that makes it easy for anyone to be able to install and enjoy the benefits of owning a GE Profile AC. Last note, we have had them installed for just about a month now and we were slightly puzzled by the dip in our power bill. We really didn’t think we had done anything significant to affect our power bill in any significant way, then it hit us, the newly installed GE inverter type AC’s….. so trust me, living in a tropical climate we understand the importance and value of something that works as the company and packaging claims, doesn’t need some professional charging 100/hr to come do the installation, and a machine that so quietly does its job you almost forget that it’s there or how hot it is outside in a given day. Thanks GE for bridging the gap between size and sound and providing a machine that lets you live a quality home life, quietly!
