Love the size of the Ranger. Big flames in a small, portable package. This one will travel on our boat when we cruise the waters of British Columbia. We can take it to shore for “land time”.

The Ranger solo stove was a perfect birthday gift for my husband. He loves how portable it is. It doesn’t get too warm below it when on its stand. So, he isn’t as worried about property damage. When we move, we may get a larger one. The Ranger is quite small, but, efficient and comfortable.

Saved our Butt's

Must say, I was on the fence a bit. The last 40 years of building fires and camping, the idea of a container to build a fire in never really crossed my mind. Convincing my wife of it being a good idea was a stretch also. The Solo Stove line is not cheap,but that's what caught my eye. When I first saw the Solo Ranger, I realized it was the peice of kit we were missing. We were heading on a 7 day Overland trip into the Nevada desert. The Ranger was the perfect size to put in our little jeep trailer with extra fuel, water, & fire wood. First night we were excited to try our new Solo Ranger, but the group we met up with had a community fire. I thought at point we might not have needed to buy the Ranger. Little did we know. Late the second afternoon heading across US 50 " Loneliest Highway in America " we spun a wheel bearing in our Jeep wrangler. Our only option was a roadside repair with the sun and the temperatures dropping fast. As we settled in for hours of beating, grinding, & chipping what use to be our bearings off our spindle, my wife Jean set up the Solo Ranger next to the jeep. Its was awesome how she just filled the Ranger full of wood and lite it from the top with no issue. Within a few minutes we were already reeping the rewards of a hot fire on a cold night. The Ranger saved our butt's that night and the next morning until we were able to get the jeep back on the road. By the time we were done packing our tools and gear back up, the Solo Stove had cooled down enough to put it back in our trailer. Never to leave a trace of our time broken down in the desert. One thing for sure, the Solo Ranger Stove will always go on our trips and I thank you guys for having such a great idea....

Incredible little fire pit. Perfect for the small area that I have. Easy to light and wow does it through off some heat. Makes me wish I had room for the bigger ones.

Best Purchase I’ve Made in a Long Time

Have been using a solo stove for camping for about 3 years now and can’t say enough great things about it. Have wanted a fire pit from them for awhile but they were never the right size for me. Until now. The ranger is a perfect size to sit out on my deck. The thing is easy to start and once it gets going it does not stop. The thing puts out massive amounts of heat. I was a little worried from some reviews that said they don’t radiate heat very well but that was simply not the case. Spent about 4 hours in front of it last night and there’s little more than ash and small pieces of char left inside. I see reviews on YouTube complain about smoke or not getting the secondary burn but they always pile the logs higher than the top ring of holes which defeats the entire purpose of this beast. If I only used this once it would still be the best investment I’ve made but I look forward to using it until it’s literally too cold to leave the house. Also, while the bottom stays cooler than the rest of the body, I really recommend getting the stand which elevates it just a little more and that thing stayed cool the entire time.

Compact, Lightweight and Fabulous Heat Output!

As a owner of the Bonfire and the Yukon, this little guy puts out a beautiful display of flames and good heat. The great thing about this fire pit is the convenient carry bag. It fits perfectly in the belly of my camper. I took regular sized firewood and cut in half.
