Pleasantly surprised!

I received and used my Solo Stove ranger for the first time last evening. I must start by saying that it arrived lightning quick with no issues! It was easy to "assemble".... basically, I took it out of the box and it was ready to use within about 2 minutes. I was very impressed how easily I was able to get a roaring fire going. Once the stove heated up, it was indeed fairly smoke-free and clean burning. It produced a decent amount of heat and the flame itself looked just like the pictures. The stand kept the ground underneath perfectly cool, so no concerns about damaging the deck or the lawn. This product has so far lived up to its promises!

A perfect 2020 splurge

Because of covid, we've gone to exclusively seeing friends outdoors and distanced. In our yard the best place for that is our deck, and having the Ranger now means that we will still be able to safely see a friend or two while outside in the fresh air and keep toasty warm. We couldn't be more thrilled with this purchase. The heat is concentrated and super warm even with just a small amount of wood. Marshmallows beware, it is HOT right over the top and you might get a flaming one faster than planned. Easy to move around, we look forward to getting some accessories to make it even more fun for our family. I admit I am sometimes suspicious of things I see advertised by Facebook, but I'm really glad this came across my feed.

Better then Flame-Gennie

Son told us of a friend he camps with that has a Solo Stove and how nice it was. Looked at them on line and decided that I liked using wood more then heating pellets. My Flame Genie needed pellets added all the time to keep the fire going. Couldn’t roast marshmallows or hotdogs over the heating pellets due to the chemicals used to hold pellets together. Had my first fire in my Ranger last night. What a big difference. Didn’t have to add fuel all the time and had a warmer fire and very little to no smoke. Love this fire pit. Feel like I’m camping now.

Ranger rocks

Bad-a*s little unit. Performs as advertised. Builds a clean, hot flame and creates glowing orange embers. Keeps smoke to a minimum. Pretty flawless design. Careful not to touch exterior even when flame dies as steel remains very hot.

Love sitting by a fire?

I had my doubts that this would be worthwhile, but it truly is. The Ranger is easy to light, and produces quite a brilliant fire, with good heat. It also burns very completely, producing a miniscule amount of ash. I've been using it every chance I get, including transporting it between home and remote locations. My brother, brother-in-law, and son have all liked it so much that they bought their own.
Grab one, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing gives me more pleasure than being with close friends around my Solo Stove Ranger staying warm and smoking premium cigars. Already making the neighbors jealous.

Ideal Solo Stove
on November 23, 2020

We are Boston area apartment dwellers with a small "backyard." We knew a Solo Stove was the ideal answer to not smell up and smoke out our neighbors. We are from the land of massive backyard fires (Montana) and were drawn to the larger stoves. Buying the Ranger was the best option but it sure felt like a bummer of a compromise. Wrong! It's so perfect. It's easy to lug up and down the stairs (we are storing it on our porch). We don't have a wood pile so we aren't going to be shoving a ton of wood into it anyways. We had a massive fire using some pellets. On top of all that, it's of a size that we might take it car camping. We didn't intend for that, but it's sure easy to toss into the trunk. Even when we had a massive yard, the Ranger is what we'd buy.
