Got our Ranger last week and used it right away. It’s everything they promise and more. Easy to set up, easy to get a fire roaring, easy to clean up, and it throws off a ton of heat. The small footprint and sleek design look nice on my patio too. I’ve already gotten 2 other friends to get solo stoves too!

Easy and efficient

Took the stove to Utah for some desert camping and loved it. No worries about embers flying around or smoke in the eyes. All that was left in the morning was a small pile of ash that was cold and easy to dispose of. Love it!

Small size, big fun!

I debated over and over if the Ranger would be adequate, everyone seemed to love the bigger models. It is plenty big, especially in a smaller wooded back yard. It’s easier to light and keep lit than any grill much less fire pit. I burn smaller split wood just fine I just do it one at a time. Plenty of fire! The kit is worth the extra cost, especially the spark guard.

Ranger, best portable fire pit ever

Hands down the best portable fire pit ever. If you enjoy outdoor activities whether it's by the Lake, or in the backyard. This is quite possibly the best portable firepit. This fire pit will run for hours on a very minimal amount of wood. And it doesn't leave your eyes watering with all that smoke. We also enjoy boon docking and overlanding. This fire pit provides an excellent source of heat and outdoor enjoyment, without having the worries of an uncontrolled fire pit. All the ash stays neatly inside the unit and is completely burned down and ready for disposal at your camp spot.

Perfect time to get a Ranger

We have several family members that are at high risk for COVID due to age and health history so we're doing all our gatherings outside. My grandparents are super old and always cold and as fall has come on quickly in New England this year they've been joining for shorter and shorter spans of time. This weekend we were able to set them up next to the solo stove and keep them warm for hours with such little time spent fussing over keeping the fire going. At one point I thought I'd been away from it for too long and wasn't sure a log would easily catch but sure enough, it did, just from the coal of a previous log. The efficiency of the burn is incredible. We got the Ranger to be able to take it in our camper van since we almost never park at campgrounds or established sites that have fire rings but with the stand we can safely use it anyway, like decks during family gatherings. My only criticism is that I wish the ranger were a tiny bit taller in order to accomodate standard firewood. If we use store bought wood without splitting the logs in half, they're too tall to keep below the upper ring of holes, as directed. But since space is a concern for us, this is not a deal breaker. We'd still highly recommend the Ranger for those who want the flexibility of building a fire anywhere. This gives us hope to be able to share a meal with family outside when it gets even colder for Thanksgiving this year. Thanks Solo Stove!

I love how easy and portable this Ranger stove is....the carry case is perfect to tote and store. Plus it works GREAT!!! I'm going to enjoy this all season long ;)
