These things really are amazing. I had been looking at them for a while and finally broke down to get one. So glad I did because it’s better than my expectations. Loved it so much I bought one for my parents the next day. Great size for taking in the camper and on the patio at home. Fires start easier and wood lasts longer. Funny to watch other campers struggle just to get campfires started while mine is blazing in minutes. LOVE IT!

Great Pit, No Bull

I couldn't help be skeptical of a product that sports almost unanimous 5-star reviews, yet the Solo Stove Ranger warrants the laurels. I ordered it so that my family and I could extend our outside time as the weather turns cool here in Minnesota, but as I live in the closer confines of a city neighborhood I wanted to make sure I didn't smoke out my neighbors, nor did I want stray embers causing a problem. After some initial smoke at start up, the secondary burn does quite a good job of reducing not only the smoke output, but the "traditional" campfire smell as well. And the portability allowed me to take it over to my in-laws' house recently and give them a close-up experience. They were suitably impressed and are considering a purchase of their own. If there's one downside, it's that I need to cut down standard sized logs, but that's nothing a few minutes with a power saw can't fix.

Lives up to the hype!

Completely satisfied and impressed with our Ranger! This thing is engineered to perfection and delivers on all it's promises. Once this pit gets cranking the secondary burn is mesmerizing and there is virtually no smoke. While the Ranger is a little small and forces you to cut smaller lengths of wood, any downside of it's smaller size is offset by it's portability since we use it in more than one location. I've already recommended Solo Stove to several friends and neighbors!

City living

This was the perfect addition to our Minneapolis backyard. It is a great size, warm and easy to use. We purchased the base which stays ice cold and we can place it on our deck or grass. We look forward to using it year round.

What a flame on a cold early fall night!

Unboxed and setup in less than 2 minutes. Looks great and easy to stock with wood that I had split earlier in the day. I added a bit of tinder, some lint, and some old wood shavings and the sparks quickly became a flame which quickly became a roaring fire. We toasted Smores and enjoyed the light and heat on a very chilly late summer/early fall night. Looking forward to lighting it again this weekend.

Amazing stove

This thing is simply brilliant in a beautiful product. I though the non smoke part is king of a gimmick but it proved me wrong. Once it gets going looks like a gas fire pit, smokeless with a beautiful fire. I got the ranger for portability reasons and I’m happy I did.
