Right size for us

We use our Ranger when we RV camp where storage space is a Limited premium. Ranger is small enough to store easily yet fills our needs for a campfire. We use it for cooking and taking the chill off evenings and mornings but mostly for ambiance.

A must have for any occasion

Heard about solo stove from a friend and they mentioned it was a smokeless wood burning fire pit. I was thinking how could that be? We’ve had other fire pits and always struggled with not smelling like a chimney after using them. Then we had the propane fire pit and at the end of the day it just isn’t the same as a wood burning fire pit.
So I went to the website and researched how the solo stove works and was very much intrigued. Took the leap and bought the ranger. I knew going in that this was a little more compact but the portability aspect was attractive to me. Luckily we also have a highly wooded area in our backyard so finding wood in smaller sizes and cutting them to fit nicely in the ranger is not an issue at all.
Let me say the ranger lights quickly and gets a fire roaring in a matter of two minutes or less! It’s so easy to start with just a little kindling and some small logs. I was amazed that it really was smokeless. It throws off nice heat, great ambience and the secondary burn is amazing. Just follow the well laid out rules and don’t stack wood above the top holes of the solo stove and you WILL have a very nice smokeless fire.
The stand is also essential in my opinion as it doesn’t get hot at all and allows you to put your Solo stove on any level surface. We use it on our deck and it makes evening outdoor events so much better.
I think I want another one now and the bonfire seems to have my name on it.

Perfect Fall Find

Great fire pit even for those small decks we have in Chicago. Enough warmth and in these times, perfect to sit around with friends while being socially distanced. Hit with the kids for s'mores. Would definitely recommend!

Great firepit for the camper!

I carry this in my 5th wheel. There are very few nights that go by without a fire in my Ranger. I carry a small battery powered chainsaw and cut the pieces of wood down to fit. We love our Ranger!

The Ranger Solo Stove is great! Burns hot & clean with reduced smoke. I personally like not having to play musical chairs to avoid the smoke chasing around the pit. The small footprint is ideal for two people. For 4 or more, I would consider the larger Yukon Overall, welcomed addition to our cooler Fall evenings to help relax & enjoy the outdoors. The self-contained setup and storage will be nice for overnight camping trips.
