The Ranger Rocks

Love love love my Ranger! I’ve not even had it a month yet. I chose this size because it would be easiest for me to handle in terms of emptying ashes and transporting. And in my only 3 weeks of ownership, it has been “on tour”! NOTE consider log size. The stove can only accommodate a log up to 12” long. So figure out your plan for feeding it. Most firewood sold is longer.

Perfect size for me

The Ranger is the perfect size for my patio. It is a substantial/stable construction, but it is also really portable - the perfect balance for me. After it has cooled, I can easily empty the little ash that is left and stow it in my garden shed out of the weather. Definitely worth the investment this year. It has been getting plenty of use as I'm really only seeing a handful of close friends and outdoors at a distance seems safer. I can picture using it in the future on car camping trips - it is so much easier to get a campfire going in this thing than in a campsite fire ring. It would definitely be worth finding the space in the car to take this along. The included bag is great, and the way that the ring and top nest inside make me think that this would travel well, too. It does not throw out a huge amount of heat, but it does create great ambiance with very little effort and easy clean up. I'm looking at buying one for my parents for Christmas now.

Solo Stove

The firewood crackling in our Solo Stove is a beautiful sound as the weather cools down and we find ourselves in need of clear air and bright stars in our own Covid-19 free oasis. We close our eyes and visualize all of the places our stove will travel with us as we cross the country camping from state to state. It may very well be the most traveled stove you've made so far. The unique design is worry-free and that gives us more time to explore the wonders of our parks and open spaces. Thank you for your incredible product and outstanding service. We are hooked on our Solo Stove!

I love Solo Stove! Ranger bonfire is the perfect size for the patio or campground. Easy to store and pack. Keeps smoke to a minimum with little ash. This is the second Solo Stove in the family! Each time we use Solo Stove our friends want one! Highly recommend Solo Stove!!

Best purchase this year!!

2020 might have a lot of bad things but this Solo Stove purchase was the light in the tunnel! We have used it every week and it is amazing. I love that there is almost zero smoke and it's so portable and easy to take anywhere. I would recommend it to everyone! This size is great..not too big but not super small. We have had neighborhood bonfires and cozy two person evenings in our backyard. Versatile and awesome. You won't regret it!!

How to get some inner peace during the 2020 year

We have enjoyed the new fire pit. During this challenging year we find some peace and happiness being out the home for some time with the lovely fire. I would recommend this to anyone. It does not take up a lot of room and there is room for a few in the family to sit and enjoy.

Got this city boy going!!!

As a certified city boy my experience with fires is usually negative. But with my solo stove ranger I am now a outdoorsman. The way this pit reduced the smoke smell and the ease of lightning it are just amazing!!! My only regret is that I didn't get the bigger one.

Ranger completely changes the fire pit game

The ranger has made our outdoor fires so much more enjoyable. First it is the easiest fire pit to light we have ever had. Some small pieces of wood followed by some a little larger and then large pieces on top. Light the small stuff and watch it go. I would recommend not filling it up as high as the directions indicate as you will have plenty of heat and fire from about half as much. I don’t mind dropping another piece of wood on the fire to keep things going at all. It burns wood so cleanly it’s wild. We had a fire for about two hours last night and our clothes didn’t even smell like smoke. Popping is contained almost completely within the Ranger so no more flying coals burning your clothes or skin either. 99 percent of the ash that comes out of the Ranger burns out within 4 feet of exiting the fire which makes it much more safe to burn and much less worry about errant fires(precautions should always be taken though). Marshmallows can be toasted in a minute or less and can be ignited in seconds so be aware. This fire burns super hot but the sides of the Ranger stay relatively much much cooler which makes getting just the right amount of warmth a lot easier than a fire burning on the ground. When the fire burnt out there was nothing but ash left so cleanup was easy too. No need to worry about embers restarting a fire because everything burns out completely within the Ranger. We just wait till the next evening to dump the cold ashes out. Easy cleanup after a wonderful outdoor experience. We love ours and would buy another today if we needed one but with the quality of construction I don’t think that will be necessary for many many years.
