Ranger Solo Stove

I purchased the Ranger solo stove for my husband for Christmas. It was the ONLY thing he wanted. We have been camping with friends with the Ranger and we both love it, especially with it's versatility to take camping. The first thing my husband did after opening is light it up and plans to every night he can. Very much recommend!

We really love our ranger. It is a great size for travel. I will say, there is definitely smoke (its a fire) but much less than you would see with a traditional fire pit. It is sleek looking. Fire wood needs to be cut pretty small to fit inside.

Great Addition To Our RV

We have RVd for years and campfires were always an issue. Smoke on our clothes, smoke in the RV. The Solo allows us to have our campfire in a smoke controlled environment, lots of heat and easy to clean up when it is time to move on. The Ranger is small enough that he is easily packable in my RV storage space. A GREAT ADDITION to any RVer!

No grey smoke still has some soot that rises (it's a fire what do you expect)

Cons:
The heat goes straight up. Really only an issue during cold winter fires, as the heat is straight above. The double walled style of the stove doesn't allow heat to radiate sideways. In the summer this will likely be awesome, but when it's 32° I'd prefer if I didn't have to hold my feet above the stove to keep them warm.

My Ranger arrive the week before Christmas and have used it several times already. We love it. Granted Arizona winters are mild, it add a nice touch to our new patio. Can't wait to try smores!
