This is the perfect fire pit for a family. It's portable allowing for us to use it as we like without cumbersome landscaping changes (and expensive installations!
If you enjoy evenings in the yard with virtually no effort, this is your fire pit!

The Solo Stove - Bonfire delivered what was promoted. It is a well built and nice looking unit, especially the black limited edition. I wouldn't say it is smokeless, but it does a really good job of cutting down the smoke. It is an enjoyable experience. As to the product and delivering what they said they would, I have to give it 5 stars.
However, if you are accustomed to open fires, you may still miss looking into the fire and watching the embers glow and having the light of the flames dance across the ground at your feet.

The Bonfire is Amazing

I love my new Bonfire Solo Stove. It is incredible how little smoke is put off! No more adjusting chairs based on the wind. I love a wood fire but can't handle the smoke. I was considering an expensive gas fire pit but wanted to give the Solo Stove a try and I'm so glad I did. It is the best of both worlds. I would recommend to anyone. I'm thinking about getting the Yukon now!

If You're Debating, You NEED This!

Bought my first Bonfire back in March and haven't been able to stop making fires in it. Even when it's pretty warm outside, as soon as the sun goes down, I want to make a fire! Just received my second Bonfire (the LE powder coated black version) yesterday and cannot wait to burn a fire in it as soon as the temperatures and humidity go back down. It is so much fun to have a fire in the Bonfire. Extremely easy to start - I go around the yard and find twigs and sticks that have fallen from trees, put them in the bottom with a piece of newspaper and light it up. It's all you need to get your fire started. Once the kindling is burning, I start adding wood and the fun really begins. The way this fire pit burns is unlike anything I've ever seen, and makes for a warm and fun time! It burns everything down to ash. There is really nothing left to clean up after the burn except a bit of ash in the bottom, and that is negligible. If you have the stand to set the fire pit on, you can literally place it anywhere to have a fire. Grass, wood deck, travertine patio, etc. As long as it's on a stand, it will not burn the surface it's sitting on. If you are at all on the fence about buying one, just pull the trigger. It is absolutely worth the price tag!

I am using my bonfire for the first time tonight. I love camping and I love the outdoors, but I don’t like smelling like a campfire when it is time to turn in. I had seen mixed reviews about the solostove and the non-smoke claims. Some said it didn’t work and some said it only reduced the smoke. I had also read that it did not radiate a lot of heat.
My experience is that it lit up fast and after it heated up the smoke was gone! I did not have a huge fire. The wood was a few inches below the rim. It was blazing hot to! It does burn very fast due to the amount of air they the fire gets, but going to sleep tonight not smelling like a fire pit!!

Great size!

My family was looking for a fire pit for the backyard that would last more than a few years. The solo stove works great with minimal smoke and I like that the fire is more contained. I always worry about my young kids running around when we have a fire—they aren’t always super aware of their surroundings. With the stand, we can put the solo stove on our deck or in the grass, which is nice because we don’t have a lot of concrete space. We were trying to decide between the bonfire and the yukon. We wanted something decently big, but not too large. We’d probably only have about eight people using the fire pit at the most. We went with the bonfire, and it really was bigger than I expected. It’s the perfect size for us. I look forward to bringing it along on camping trips too.
