Bonfire, as advertised!

The Bonfire firepit functions as described. I typically load my Bonfire with dry wood to get things started. After about 15 minutes the Bonfire really takes off. It's almost like somebody is gently running a leaf blower down in the coals by they way steady air feeds the white-hot coals. The combination of steady air flow and the resulting heat/combustion results in very little smoke. When the Bonfire is hot and rolling with flame I can then add almost any kind of wood. Even some wet aspen rounds burned hot with very little smoke.
I'm excited to hear that Solo Stove is working on a spark screen for these units. For now, I'm using some metal mesh screen from the hardware store that I cut in a circle and mounted a handle to (metal clothes hanger fabrication) with great luck.
My last customization is my smother-cover. I picked up a 55-gallon steel drum and cut it in half. Now, when I'm done with my fire I just take the half drum and cover my bonfire. It's now protected from rain and moisture and it safely smothers out the fire. I don't have to mess with moving my Bonfire around on my patio when it's super hot or waiting for the fire to die down.
Overall, this is a great firepit. The airflow engineering concept makes this unit a 5 star.

Best Pit I have seen in 40 years

It truly is the easiest fire to get going, smokes very little. I liked it so much I bought one for my son in law and a friend bought one after one visit to the house.

I finally was able to get our new Bonfire out and use it. We used it at our daughters graduation open house, and it was a monster hit. The bonfire sits on our patio in an area that's about 12x12, and we have bench seats around it. Once the fire got going, there was plenty of warmth around it, and the smoke was nearly nonexistent. So happy with my purchase, and everything that Solo Stove claims is accurate with the Bonfire. Love it...now I just need to get more wood:)

We absolutely love our new bonfire. It fits into our firepit and allows us to build a quick fire. We have enjoyed more outdoor time because of it. We love the way the flames look and the excellent hear it puts off.

BonFire Stove

Used the Stove for the first time, was a Father’s Day gift for my husband. Fits in our existing fire pit. He (we) loved it! It is a constant heat like no other fire pit. The flames are beautiful and we are very happy with the purchase. Don’t hesitate, buy it.

Expectations exceeded and I had high expectations!

I've been looking into Solo for a good while now but just never pulled the trigger. I finally ordered the Bonfire a little over a week ago on sale and got it in Friday. I've now had a fire Friday night, Saturday evening and now 2pm on a 90 degree day for Father's Day. Crazy? Maybe, however this thing works so well that it makes having a fire worth it even on a hot day. It starts easily, stays going strong and just looks beautiful doing it.
The best part of this process of having a fire is you don't smell like a campfire afterwards. It's so strange but it's true. It's almost smokeless and the smoke that is produced seems to go straight up and not in your face. I was also expecting to go through way more wood as this burns so efficiently but it doesn't seem to burn faster than normal.
I'm very impressed so far but I guess the best compliment I can give is my wife giving it her blessings after being not thrilled at me for buying it. One fire was enough to change her mind and now says it was a great buy! lol
