Great Birthday Gift for the Hubbie

Bought the Bonfire sized Solo Stove and really enjoyed it once the flames started to grow. We've had our neighbors over every night for beers and S'mores once the kiddos are in bed. Super fun experience! Love the feel of the flames at night and the great time spent with others so far. I've never been so excited to give a gift before!

I heard a LOT of positive word of mouth about the Solo Stove, and the video reviews were equally enthusiastic; it totally lives up to the hype. Shipped fast (and free!), looks great, and it really creates a beautiful fire with ease. My kids love it, I love it, and I only regret not getting it sooner!

Nice, far from perfect

This is a really cool fire pit. Perfect if you are looking for something that looks nice, gives good heat, and efficiently uses fuel. Some significant issues make it less than perfect. Ash from wood mostly falls to the pan toward the bottom. Nothing is removable so the only way to empty ash is to turn the 20lbs upside down. I like to burn our pizza boxes because we can't recycle them. That leaves bigger ash than will fall through the holes, more mess. Also, you can't dump the ash until the unit cools. If it rains before it cools, the ash does what wet ash does, more mess. We haven't done smores yet, but I'm a little nervous about what marshmallow is going to do if it drips or touches the stainless. So if you don't need to burn paper or cardboard in your fire pit and don't care about not making a mess with marshmallows 5 stars.

The Solo Stove Bonfire is amazing!

I used my Solo Stove Bonfire for the 1st time this weekend. It performed exactly as advertised. I am amazed at how great this stove works! The wood burns HOT and complete. No fire stirring required. Throw in the log and watch it burst into flames.

It lives up!

The Bonfire lives up to its billing. Hands down the easiest fires I’ve ever started without a liquid starter. After the warm up 10-20 minutes, the smoke largely disappears. Very little stoking necessary. Ok, that might be a negative! Nice clam, hot flame. Love it!
