First Burn was a great success

Title says it, it was a great first fire. After i got some wet wood going with a starter log, the rest lit right up. Fire burned hot enough to overcome the wet wood that I had to burn, and had very little smoke. Put off a ton of radiant heat around the pit. I let the wood get down to lower embers and I cooked steaks on it with the addition of a grill grate that I had from another grill. Turned out great. Happy Wife, Happy Life. Looking forward to many more fires around the Bonfire.

I can *NOW* control fire!

I was hesitant purchasing a Solo Stove Bonfire due to the larger investment required compared to a traditional fire pit. However, I LOVE the fact that I ended up getting it. Shipping took 4 days and arrived in pretty standard packaging. I used it the first night I got it on our deck with no issues what-so-ever. Had a fire going on our deck again during the Super Bowl and everyone (~20 people) were very impressed of how efficient it was, the amount of heat it gave off and the overall engineering of the Bonfire. Now all they need to do is create a firewood subscription service because it EATS wood like my kids blow through food. If I did it again, I would buy the Bonfire over any other fire pit.

Fire!!

This burned like a dream after putting the effort into making sure the fire was well set up! I love the look of the flames coming out of the holes at the top. There is definitely less smoke as described. The top is starting to turn into a gold color from the heat which is cool too.

It is all that was expected; easy to move, fun to watch, little to clean up. I enjoy having just enough "campfire" smell while starting the fire and then, not having my clothes and hair smell like a campfire after finishing up

I had fantasized about this device for quite a while seeing the ads on my instagram feed and facebook. I decided to finally give it a try as I like to camp in my rv where this would be perfect and was excited to have some some back yard fires with the kids. All the reviews of it leading up to the delivery promised a roaring campfire, and low smoke. once received we all went outside and fired it up! We were all disappointed with how smokey it was, and how long it took to get started. I knew I could improve on this and had better luck with subsequent burns. I found that if you maintain a lot of fuel and avoid choking the fire it does indeed produce less smoke, but it is still there along with the smell of a campfire. This would be ideal with the just the boys and the dirtbikes after a long day of riding. I tried to love it but ended up returning it sorry to say. Weighing the cost vs the performance and Joy it sparks just didn't add up.

Feel the Burn

I can’t imagine that there is any type of wood that this thing won’t burn. Everything I threw into it burned to a dust. A lot of the wood I had was a real problem staying ignited with my conventional fire pit. That being said, the worst drawback about this pit is the visual loss of the burning embers, as the quality stainless steel encases and blocks the view of the logs. For that, I must only give it a 4 star rating.
