When it is finished burning there is only a fine dust of ash left

Impressive fire pit. It has inspired me to have more outdoor fires. No smoke in my face and far more heat than an ordinary fire. When it is finished burning there is only a fine dust of ash left, no black gook. Easily transportable too. I put the old fashioned fire pit away and I doubt that I will use it again.

This thing is a blowtorch! Lights with a few crumpled pieces of paper and normal length logs, clean burning and leaves just a fine ash. Can sit MUCH closer than an open fire ring. I was doubtful at first, but this thing just flat works! I bought one as an early backer on Go-fund-me. :D

Love my bonfire... Backed this project from the beginning knowing that Solo Stoves makes top notch products and this turned out to be a great one.
Very well made and very impressive for the price.
Item was boxed very well for shipping since large metal items tend to get beat up by shipping companies.
You are able to get a good bit of wood in this and accepts standard fireplace cut wood.

Our best outdoor purchase yet

Simply put, this thing is amazing. It is easy to get the fire burning, and once it is going it puts off a great amount of heat. It burns the wood super efficiently, leaving behind a minimal amount of ashes compared to the amount of wood it burns. Construction is solid and the overall weight makes it easy to move around when it is cool.

I received two of these very early on as a result of investment support through their kickstarter campaign, I haven't had them long enough to give you a viable report on how they stand up for the long haul or about the joys of using this in all seasons; but I can tell you this: These stoves are well built and they look gorgeous whether there's a fire in them or not. The travel bag will make it easy to pack it up and take it with you without getting the back end of your vehicle all scroungy. (Assuming you have the space in your vehicle, in the travel bag these measure out at about 15 inches tall and 22 inches in diameter.) You'll need to actively maintain your stove by emptying the ash after it cools down and by covering it up or bringing it in out of wet/rainy weather. Yes, it's stainless steel but care and maintenance is prudent regardless of the material. I'm looking forward to using this finely built stove for a long, long time, It is Nice... with a capital NICE.

My Husband was one of the original backers on Kickstarter. Item was produced and is pretty amazing. We received 2, one for a gift and one for ourselves. The bonfire does exactly what is says it will do, produce a very nice fire with minimal smoke. Minimal design look is very cool as well. It burn very efficiently so you have very little ash left over after your fire. It does seem to burn wood fairly quick though due to its efficiency. We had a slight issue with shipping damage and they took care of immediately. We highly recommend the product as well as the company.
