Needs a ember screen

Stove burns hot and efficient as advertised. But given the strong upward air flow and hot burning fire, embers can be a problem- both for folks sitting nearby and for conscientious use outdoors or in the backyard. Solostove referred me to two small-sized makers but cost is outrageous- far cheaper to design one as we build a built-in pit for the Fire Pit. Love the pit but very surprised that they don’t offer the screen as an add-on, one that could be more reasonably priced if produced/sold at a volume/ratio relative to Fire Pit sales. Extra margin/sales for them, and a well-needed necessity for safe operation that most customers should use.

The Perfect Fire Pit

I recently purchased the bonfire and lit my first fire this evening. It was beautiful fall weather, perfect for a fire. The bonfire did not disappoint. Once a small fire of kindling was started, that’s all it took. I added a few logs and they ignited and never stopped burning. I had a consistent flame of various intensity from start to finish. With a typical fire pit, you need to readjust the logs every so often, or blow on the fire to reignite the flames and ensure a complete burn. The bonfire does this all by itself. It’s amazing!

It really performs as it says (fire starts easily, little smoke, great heat). I put a tripod over it and hung a cast iron pot and cooked soup - could not have worked better in my opinion. I do have one suggestion for improvement and that would be to put handles on the stove for easier pick up and carrying. That said, I still give it 5 stars because it really performs as advertised and that just does not happen very often.

This thing is pretty cool. It burned evenly, put out a ton of heat, and no wood is wasted. I like it much better than any outdoor fire pit that I have tried in the past.
