Now this I love! I've only fired it up once so far (been raining constantly) but it works exactly as advertised and produces tons of heat! The next morning I took a look to see how much ash was left- only about a 1/2 inch with no chunks. This after loading it up to the brim with Madrona and Pine wood. Madrona is a spectacularly hard west coastal wood that even after dying attached to the main trunk, will not fall for decades. Not a common wood, but the point is that it burns very hot and slow, which helped to keep even damp Pine burning without much smoke, especially after the full blaze was going. I forgot to take pic's or video, but if you want an easy and safe way to have a bonfire, this is it! You should also check out the smaller ones, I have the Campfire one as well and it is also highly efficient- I've used smoking chunks for firewood because it's an easy way to get small hardwood pieces.

We have had ours for about a month and have used it 3 times with friends in the backyard as well as taking it down to the rocks on the beach. Works really well, the wood catches amazingly fast, just a bit of paper and dry logs, no kindling. The wood also burs completely and the fire gets very very hot. Really like the crying case because we plan on taking this in the car for camping etc. Very happy with the purchase.

Super cool fire

Just used my bonfire this past weekend and it was AMAZING ! Super convenient looks cool. It's looks really great when the secondary combustion kicks in. We put quite a lot of wood into it over the course of the evening and in the morning it had reduced all of it to a fine ash. Going to be using this a lot !!

Best Patio Fire Pit Around!

Really a great way to have a fire to hangout with friends. Very safe and functional. A superior burn that leaves just a handful of ash after burning for a couple of hours. Easy to just dump out the ash once it's cooled. It's nearly "smokeless" once the fire gets going, and the chimney like effect of the design sends any smoke more up then just an open fire tends to do. It's easy to light the fire as there is plenty of room in side to setup some kindling and such, then it's a one match fire and off you go!

Best fire pit ever!

This is by far the best firepit that I have ever had! Burns everything completely with only a little bit of ash left the next day. Super easy to get started and very easy to transport with the travel bag! If you are in the market for a fire pit you can take anywhere this is the only one to buy!

Love this thing!! Bought mine via the Kickstarter and just used it for the 1st time this past weekend. The beauty is that it comes with a carrying case/bag...that and that is is beautiful when there is no fire in it. Love it and would highly recommend it!!!

Best Purchase in Five Years

Very rarely do I buy something that turns out to be exactly what I needed, but this was one of those times. I love sitting out back by the fire with friends, but the problem has always been the smoke, causing my wife and her friends to stay inside. Once this thing gets going, it's great with almost zero smoke. Everyone that comes over falls in love with it, and I've already had two friends place their orders. Great job, Solo Stove!

Great compromise for an outdoor fire pit. No permanent yard fixture to deal with and I can have a nice fire anytime. It also burns really well and cleanly. Leaves very little in the can other than fine ash. I just dump it in my plants to add some nutrients back to the soil. Win win. Great product and a really nice price.
