Best “Bonfire” Ever!

I have always loved the idea of gathering together with friends and family around the campfire, but I hate the smoke-smelling like it, breathing it in. This solves the smoke problem and makes the campfire enjoyable. Everyone should get one!

Used all day the first day

I can't believe how well the Solo Bonfire works. This last Saturday I finally had enough time to test it out. I wanted to go through lighting it, see how long it takes to burn off initial smoke, burn times, etc. Well, here's what happened ... I lit it on Saturday about lunch time, incredibly easy with some small kindling as it pulls just enough air through the bottom grate to breath it into a full fire. The first time, it took about 15 minutes before it was warm enough to move past the initial smoking stage (the next time, it was ~5 mins). So, on that first Saturday, it was working well, I put in some logs here and there to keep it going and to figure out what works best. Then, it was working so well, that we decided to go ahead and grill that evening around 5pm, and the fire kept going and was so cozy that we just kept sitting by the fire until 1030pm. My day derailed into just sitting around the fire and being mesmerized! It is a very well-engineered product and it's amazing to see it in action, easy to light, consistent burn (not too high, not too low), and no smoke, to the point that we could sit right beside it. Well done! I've come back to the site to get the lid, that'll keep out the snow / rain between uses.

Worth the $$

I really enjoy my bonfire! easy to start a fire and then get it hot. The fire is mesmerizing! It puts off a nice heat. Easy to empty and move once it's cooled down. The cover is easy to put on and remove. I highly recommend! :)

Not for the Backyard Enthusiast

I had really high hopes for this product based on the reviews and the serious thought that went into the design. My only reservation was the price tag. But eventually, I convinced myself that you get what you pay for. I can honestly say that I should have bought something else. After less than one year (about 10 months) the perforated fire grate is completely burned through in several areas and so badly warped that it's collapsing downwards. The inner metal is also shedding a red residue (rust?). I could've had the same results with an old washer drum for a fraction of the cost. It's a neat toy, but not a real fire pit.

Easy to handle, easy to light, burns safely and super efficiently and cools down quickly with very little ash left to get rid of safely. I love it!!
