Received my bonfire last week. It’s pretty much ready to go right out of the box. I got the fire ring to raise it off the ground. Built my first fire in it and WOW. The fire burned clean, hot and virtually smokeless. Sat out on the patio with a lovely, warm blaze for two hours with one armful of wood. It burns down nicely and was easy to put away when we were ready to go inside. I bought one for my son for Christmas. I’m so glad I did/

The bonfire is terrific. So easy to start a fire and very little smoke. Light weight and very portable. Easy clean up. Stayed lit ... great flame and burn ... a beautiful fire. The only issue was heat dispersion ... had to be 2 feet away from fire to feel the warmth (in 37 degree weather). To improve heat dispersion, would be nice to have a heat deflector or maybe the larger Yukon.

LOVE the Solo Bonfire!

I bought the Solo Stove Bonfire for our family for Christmas to use both in our back yard and when we go camping. I love that it is portable and keeps smoke down to a minimum. Looking forward to many campfires in the future with our family and friends!

More heat than expected

We tested our “New” Bonfire in our back yard before we got ready to go Glamping. The fire lit quickly and burned hot right away. After it was going with real oak logs. I (IR) measured the outside (bottom) temperature at 135° and the internal temp. at 1350°. I had not received my stand yet, so I had it sitting on 6" X 6" blocks. The heat was good on my upper body. Like REALLY good. We were kept warm as we enjoyed the flames. But the real test came the next morning... I had taken a shower, and put on fresh clean clothes BEFORE I lit the fire. When I woke then next morning, and smelled the clothes that I had been wearing. There was absolutely No Smoke Smell whatsoever. This is the real jewel in the crown of this unit. My wife (like other folks) suffers from smoke related problems. This pit may not heat the same as an open fire, but you also are not going to be chased by the smoke during the evening as it burns down. Clean up and storage the next day was quick and easy as well. So I give it 5 stars. Well done (no pun intended) solo stove!!!

Wish it was an inch or two taller

Overall I'm satisfied with my Bonfire, although I do wish it was an inch or two taller as my preferred length of firewood is long enough that when a piece inevitably falls as they burn, it does tend to hang over the lip a bit which the box clearly states not to do.
