Bought my husband a solo stove for Christmas. He is thrilled and can't wait to have a bonfire with real wood. Our outdoor fire pit is gas and he misses the smell of real wood. We also are interested in traveling around the country in 2021 so the portable feature should be helpful.

Exceeded Our Expectations

We used it for the time yesterday evening and it exceeded our expectations. It We used it for the first time last night when them was 42 and dropping. It exceeded our expectations. It was easy to light and burned exactly as promised. The holes at the bottom created a great draft and the holes at the top created a beautiful flame pattern with virtually no smoke once the logs caught fire. It also throws a lot of heat. Despite the falling temperature, we were all quite comfortable. When on the ground, it's a little low for our tastes so we're going to raise it about a foot or so.

Purchased 2 after reading all the reviews, one as a Christmas present for my son and a second as a wedding present for my niece, my son could not wait to use it! He started it up and loved the results, the flames almost look like propane, very controlled and the heat was impressive. Best of all easy pack up and carry away after the pit cools. Love the case.
