In anticipation of a long Covid19 Montana winter we purchased a Solo Stove for the backyard, socially distanced Happy Hours we intended to enjoy with friends. It's the best thing going! I don't understand the technology behind these stoves exactly but it is SO. MUCH. EASIER. to start than our old fire pit. We even enjoyed an outdoor, socially distanced, neighborhood Friendsgiving dinner, with three of the neighbors Solo Stoves going for extra warmth on a frigid evening and managed to stay pretty cozy.

Best Thing Ever

I live in Minnesota and bought this as a way to still spend time with friends outdoors during the pandemic. I ordered the bonfire with the stand and the lid. It arrived the day before New Year's Eve, and I have used it almost every night since. A little soup or chili, some hot beverages, holiday lights, and a gorgeous fire--the perfect winter night. Friends LOVE it too and say it's inspiring, helping them enjoy winter. It's creating beautiful, magical evenings.
The stand was a great purchase because it allows me to have the bonfire on the deck. I have purchased an ember resistant mat too, which helps. Not many embers come flying out of the fire, but it catches the little ones that do. And the lid is great for snuffing out the fire and protecting the deck when the night comes to a close.
Really, this has been one of the best purchases I've ever made for winter fun!

Best fire pit ever

This fire pit simply burns better then any I have tried. Super clean burn that puts off great heat. The clean burn produces almost no smoke.
