Fascinating and fun

I got one of these for my father-in-law for Christmas and before the end of the day I had ordered another for my dad. They were a hit with everyone and kept people out at the fire playing with it for many hours straight. If you are feeding it fast, it will not make wood last longer but it will fully convert that wood to heat. The main appeal remains the simply peaceful and fascinating way it burns. Fires are very easy to start and after a cool-down (which could be more than 24 hours if you used it a lot), cleanup simply consists of dumping the ashes out.

Very efficient outdoor firepit

This is a terrific addition to our patio. The Solo Bonfire produces lots of heat providing you use HARD WOOD, as recommended. It burns so hot, that soft wood does not last long. It also consumes 99% of the wood, resulting in very little ash. We would like to see some sort of top designed with a screen, as many RV parks will not allow an open firepit without a top to contain sparks. Great construction and easy to clean up.

This was a Christmas gift to myself. And a treat to quench my insatiable thirst for fire, heat and other manly combinations. I don't fully understand how or why but everything about my outdoor fire pit experience has been improved. The beer tastes better, the conversation carries later into the evening and even the heat feels warmer. I liked it so much I sent one to a friend for his 40th birthday, 4 months early. Nothing impresses him and his lone comment was "Damn, this thing is incredible!" Thus earning the title of my review. I can't speak to the durability of this thing as I have only had it for about 6 weeks but the stainless steel construction seems like a good start. If you have any reservations about what this thing will do, drop them. Start out with a few pieces of seasoned kindling, build with larger seasoned pieces and eventually this thing will incinerate whatever you put in it.

Love this fire pit! Burns so even and keeps the smoke going up and not in your face! I think everyone needs one!! Great for camping!! The bag that it is stored in nice too!!

Burns evenly, and burns hotter than any large fire pit I’ve been around. It’s a slower burn too meaning you’re not throwing logs on every 5 mins.

The main thing that sold me on this were the reviews that stated it created less smoke! Boy was that the truth. I've had it since November and my dad, brother and best friend all want one now to replace their fire pits. Haha! They couldn't believe how little smoke it emitted once the fire was going. My brother said he has never had his jacket not reek of smoke after a fire pit until now. I love the secondary burn from the top air vents once you get a good fire going, it is mesmerizing! It gives off great heat also. I bought it in November so the price was very good compared to other heavier fire pits. I love the heavy duty storage bag and cleanup the next morning is simply just flipping it over and dumping the ash out. This is a highly engineered and scientific wood burning machine! There is no other fire ring to even compare this thing to. Everything else is just overpriced metal bowl. You won't regret this one!

Great product. It throws serious heat. It packs well.

It's worthy of the 5 stars, but they don't yet offer any grilling accessories.
A grate for grilling and a griddle for breakfast would be nice.

Solo Bonfire Delivers

Have had the Bonfire for 3 weeks. This is a high tech - Bad Boy wood burner. Totally enjoying this item. Does exactly what the manufacturer advertises. Easy to start and burns wood down to minimal ash and with minimal smoke after start up. I've burnt all types of wood - pallets, seasoned oak and other various soft and hardwoods. Burns hot for sure and great to watch. Great for all you back yard Bobs and campsites. Very happy with this purchase,
