Perfect for the deck

We got the Bonfire to replace a traditional fire pit which was heavy, difficult to maintain, and always left us smelling of smoke after using it. With the additional stand for the Bonfire (and a round grill pad as an extra precaution as we have an older wood deck) we are able to enjoy a fire right on our deck which puts off a lot of heat, but keeps the smoke to an absolute minimum. The fire roars and takes no poking / messing with to keep going for a long time. Clean up is very simple (almost everything is reduced to ash) and the added benefit is that, if you want to put it away, you can just put it in it’s supplied bag and easily carry it to the shed or other storage spot (or just leave it in place by getting the optional cover). The sides do get very hot - so don’t lean your new boots against the side and be surprised when the soles melt (speaking from personal experience. Couldn’t be happier with our Bonfire, and expect to use it way more often than our traditional fire pit

I have been somewhat disappointed with my Bonfire Solo Stove to date. I like how it is lightweight and easy to use. However the actual Bonfire unit became discolored from the heat after only one use which was disappointing. in addition the embers often fly out unexpectedly and it burnt a hole in my outdoor sofa cushion. It also emits more smoke than I was expecting.

So far we love the Bonfire. We’ve only had a couple of fires but they have been easy to start burned beautifully and made for a great gathering spot for a group of neighbors social distancing outside in the cold.

Good size and amazing fire

I was a little skeptical of all of the reviews, but, one youtube video about how easy it is to keep a good fire going was what really convinced me to give the bonfire a try. It did not and does not disappoint! There's a little smoke when it's starting up, but, it's super easy/great to keep it running by throwing in a log now and then. The burn is complete and nothing but fine ashes left afterwards, just dump it out to clean. It's great!
