The Solo Stove Bonfire is awesome!

Our Bonfire came well packaged, couldn't wait to try it out. It uses less wood than a traditional fire pit and puts out more heat! Didn't have to smell like a campfire after and there was no smoke chasing you around! Great job Solo Stove!

Great First Time Out

I got to use this for the first time about 2 weeks after purchasing it. It had no problems starting the fire. Just a small layer of newspaper on the bottom with the logs in a Tee Pee configuration and it lit first time. It burned for the rest of the night no problems. It does create a very hot fire though even though I had not loaded it with wood. Would be perfect for fall and winter fire outside as well. Also liked that there was very little smoke as they advertise. Right from the beginning to end no one had to move due to a lot of smoke in anyones face. I left the coals burn down until the next morning and very little ash was left. There was also very little carbon build up on the sides so cleaning was pretty easy. Just dump out the ashes and put back into the carrying case and pack up camp. I also did not burn all the bundles of wood I had so we had one complete bundle left over so very efficient on wood consumption. Look forward to using this again.

I love this product. My wife and I can enjoy having an outdoor fire on our patio wth minimal smoke. I would be careful with young children as the steel gets super hot and make sure to put the product somewhere you wont worry about ruining the ground ie grass or a deck. It has left a mark on out slate patio so I placed it on a dedicated concrete block. Make sure to pack up your pit and not leave it out in bad weather there is no drainage which I can find so it may rust if neglected. Enjoy!

An awesome product

I took a flyer on this based on an ad I saw on social media. I've wanted an inexpensive fire pit set up for a while but inexpensive at home improvement stores = cheaply made. The construction is solid and the engineering is well thought out. The Solo Stove preforms exactly as advertised. It makes light a breeze because of the oxygen always being fed to the flame and it burns hot. When the fire is out there is only ash left, the fire burns completely and without tons of smoke, again, exactly as advertised. I have no idea how long it will last but the ability to store it inside will helps so much. Here in MA I will have tons of great evenings to use it this fall and I am looking forward to those nights.

Totally Amazed

I have been looking for a fire pit for our home for a couple of years. While some of the units I looked at were ornate, the construction was thin gauge steel painted, or copper. Knowing about metals, I have always preferred stainless steel knowing that it will hold up to weather and will not rust. We are in love with the way it burns and the reduction in smoke due to the design and airflow at the top of the unit. It's like a secondary converter. Overall it generates higher heat and it's easy to transport when we go RVing. We did purchase a second unit for a birthday gift for son and most likely purchase two more for Christmas Gifts.
Keep up the good work in providing high quality products for a very reasonable price.

Very nice product. The Bonfire is my first Solo Stove purchase and we are very pleased. Shipping was quick and we had our first "Bonfire" this past weekend. Worked great. Beautiful flame and although not smoke free, certainly less than most any other firepit . Highly recommended.

Wonderful addition to your camping adventure

We just purchased our first RV and with my wife being sensitive to smoke I was on a mission to find a way to have a camp fire while camping with our new rig....after all what is camping without a fire (I think they will find a "fire" gene in human DNA someday). I stumbled upon the Solo Stove and was excited to give it a try. Our second outing this past weekend provided a perfect opportunity to try our our new Solo Stove and it was great.
I didn't say a thing and just waited to see my wife's response and she loved it. Except for start up there is very little smoke and the fire is roaring in no time. Even on our drive home she commented on how wonderful the new stove was and how it was a highlight of the trip.
We had a couple of friends who were camping across the way from us and were wondering how to get one.
All in all I'm glad I purchased a Solo Stove. I have a neat fire kit system now, the stove goes in the carry bag and into the bag goes: fire starter, matches, a hatchet and gloves. I keep this in the back of my truck along with some fire wood and we now have a great way to enjoy an almost smokeless campfire on our camping adventures with our new RV.
