Many uses...glad I bought it

So far I've used it to sit by in the late afternoon. It could be great for socializing. It throws a lot of heat, so It's very pleasant. After many years of wood stove use, I'm impressed by how easy it is to get a fire going. The draft system appears to be very well thought out. I also like the minimalist looks. After I re-build my deck with an extension that gets it far enough away from the house I'll use it there. In fact, it inspired a re-design that is much more successful than the original. I'll also use it to dispose of scraps from my wood shop. The fact that it's portable is a big plus.

Received mine last week. Easy to use, great fire, safe contained fire, burns to light grey ash. Liked it do much I bought a second for use at our cabin. Highly recommend!

Exactly what I wanted

Totally bought this as impulse buy seeing the ad on Facebook. HOWEVER, we'd been talking about a fire pit for 4 years and never done anything. We have a long and skinny backyard, so I never wanted one of those shallow and wide dish looking fire pits you find at the hardware store as they take up way too much room, and smoke alot. I built a little circulate stone surround with 50 trapezoidal pavers with plenty of ventilation, and it looks pretty swank. Plenty of heat comes off this bad boy too, and the coals that are left are nice and toasty. It will rip for hours on end if you keep feeding it wood and the smoke is minimal.

We have a gas fire pit but sometimes you want a real fire. The solo stove bonfire is perfect for this. I love the portability and bag. Will be bringing along for football tailgating

Worth the Wait

My husband and I already own several small solo stoves. So when we saw the announcement for a backyard fire pit...well, I knew I HAD to have one. First, we had to wait for them to be ready; then we waited for shipment. Then I set it up in the backyard. VICTORY! Our dog isn't very firepit savvy so constantly bounces off the stove with no problems. The outside is hot but not burning hot when in use. Which also means no damage when you use it on your grass. The smoke swirls upwards in normal and light breezy conditions. The fire itself puts off an enjoyable heat. True to the Solo Stove functionality, wood burns down to virtually ash. I purchased a total of three and gifted two. Both my madre and closest friend love theirs. We purchased a post and grill rack to use with this for cooking over the fire at home; kids love it. Can't say enough about the quality. Stop thinking about it and just buy it already!

Up in smokeless flames

First time of use was on our back porch on a cool, late summer evening in a suburb of Denver. What a treat. It lived up to every personal expectation and hope, that it would be an excellent addition to our inventory of gear and worthy of spending a considerable sum on. I gave it a vote of confidence even before the first occasion of firing it up, by purchasing two more. I'm a good judge of a great piece of equipment after 60 yrs walking upright upon this earth and I could see clearly, the pleasure and joy it would add to the couples in my family for who I purchased it, and that alone made the investment worthwhile. Hope y'all enjoy it as much as my bride and I do. Thanks folks for a great firepit. A firm, positive thumbs up if I do say so meself!
