The Solo Stove Bonfire is exactly as promised. It lights easily, burns hot, burns efficiently, and produces VERY little smoke when fully heated. Great for the back yard and for off-road camping.

Beautifully designed stove. Stove's chimney design draws air to feed fire well. Wish it had a grate option to cook.

We have loved this fire pit so far. Perfect for our backyard. Starts up quickly and burns very hot, so there is very little left over to clean up, just the little bit of ash in the bottom.

Fantastic fire pit

After I purchase the bonfire, I brought it camping with us. We wanted to cook some steaks over the fire, and since we didn't have a grill that fit the Solostove, we used the campground fireplace. All night we suffered with smoke in our faces. A couple days later, we used the Bonfire at home. What a difference! It lights so easily, burns completely, and there is almost no smoke. No moving around the fire every time the wind blows only to have the smoke follow you. Just the perfect campfire experience. It's very portable and even after hours of burning, there is very little ash in the morning. If you love the campfire experience but hate smoke in your eyes, get one!

I love everything about this fire pit... except the fact that I wish it was a little wider. It's a beautiful pit, produces a low-smoke flame without a ton of wood, and is fun to use. I anticipate enjoying using this one with the fam for a long time to come.

Just the right size and very easy to get a fire roaring

I was very happy with the size of the bonfire, much larger than I thought it would be. With just a few sticks and a match I had a fire roaring in no time. Once it is going there is very little smoke and the heat output was impressive. Toasting marshmallows required constant attention, but they can be toasted to perfection without any trouble. Clean up is a breeze and the included carry bag makes bringing it to different locations a breeze.

Awesome stove - can't say how enjoyable it is to use

This is a great stove. Extremely efficient in the way it works, and for the most part smoke free - though I was using seasoned hardwood and didn't test using greener wood. The only complaint from my wife was the fact that you can't see the coals while you're using it. You see the flame, but lose sight of the whole campfire experience of the red hot coals, etc. So - we use it a bunch for sitting on the front porch which is concrete and just throwing a few logs on and having a 1-2 hour relaxing little fire, and we use it for camping and at the beach where it's just convenient. But - at home, for the full campfire experience, we'll be using the fire pit. I may build a sunken hole into our new deck and line it with brick so that I can drop the top down to just above deck level and use it there. It truly is an efficient stove. Well designed and we love using it.

Elegant in design and function

I purchased a Bonfire from Solo Stove recently. It came packed for protection, so it arrived with no issues. Uncrated the piece, read the instructions and had a blaze going 5 minutes later. The wood cooked down to ash as predicted and the unit stayed warm (with embers) for some time. Easy to clean and store. This will be a game changer at my house.
