Love it!

Surprisingly easy to light and get going. Just used one balled up piece of paper and some small sticks. Probably put too much wood to start (up to the top holes) because it was shooting fire up like a fighter jet in afterburner! We let that burn down a while and then just added a piece at a time as needed and it burned at a reasonable rate and still put out plenty of heat and light. Just powdery white ash remains after it burns out and easy to dump and put away. Wife and I both love it!

Smokeless pleasure

Works great. Very little smoke. Good heat output and nearly complete burn. Way better than my chiminea, and that has a flue. I'm thinking of buying another one. Should have named this one the campfire, and build a bigger one called the bonfire. Sign me up if you do make a bigger one.

Passed the Smoke Test

Took the Bonfire camping for its maiden voyage. It got rave reviews on appearance and function (kept 5 of us toasty warm), not to mention the hypnotic motion of the flames dancing in the bowl. It was a big hit, but I noticed something else when washing the camping clothes. The first night we did the conventional campfire in the traditional campground fire ring. Big chunks of wood, lots of wood adjustment for best heating, and LOTS of smoke to dodge. The next night we broke out the Solo Bonfire, used smaller chunks of wood, no wood adjustment (just added chunks as needed), plenty of heat, and minimal smoke. I could easily tell which clothes were worn on each night. The first night's clothes smelled VERY smoky, but the second night's clothes were nearly smoke free. The folks we were camping with just ordered their Bonfire and we can't wait to use ours again. Thanks Solo!

Beyond Expectations!

First, I never write reviews for products that do what they are designed to do. The bonfire does what they say and better than I thought it would. It burned basically 100% of the wood and sent the reduced smoke straight up because of the design. My wife said " I don't smell like smoke". We use the bonfire on our deck (not camping) and used less wood, better flame, hotter and had almost nothing to clean up. This is a really great product!

Beyond amazing! Better than TV!

I am sitting beside my new Bonfire as it keeps me warm in the backyard! The rest of the family are watching TV while I'm out in the cool night air, enjoying the bright orange glow and radiant heat from this work of art and engineering.
The Bonfire is a solid, well made drum, but not too heavy. Throws out incredible heat and is so much more efficient than my old fire drum. Once up to temp it is smokeless. When up at full roar this thing is a little crazy. (Crazy good!!) I also own the Solo Stove Campfire- that thing is an absolute beast for heat output- and this takes it to a whole new level.
I paid a bundle for shipping to Australia- but it really was worth it. With its large size you don't have to spend so long breaking sticks into itty bitty pieces or chop firewood into tiny bits. Just throw logs on. Done. Easy. Warm. Bliss.

Best fire pit ever!

This is by far the best firepit that I have ever had! Burns everything completely with only a little bit of ash left the next day. Super easy to get started and very easy to transport with the travel bag! If you are in the market for a fire pit you can take anywhere this is the only one to buy!

So when it arrived, it was a little smaller than I expected but once I got it where I wanted it, started up and list. All worries disappeared. Once it gets going it puts out an amazing amount of heat, the fire looks great and all the wood is consumed. Cleanup is fast and easy.
