Best Firepit EVER!

I'd been looking at Solo Stove for months debating on whether to pull the trigger. Main concerns were cost and safety as I have 3 daughters under the age of 6. We love to have bonfires but hate to all smell like smoke at the end of the night.
I finally pulled the trigger and could not be happier. We built an enclosure for it to keep the kids away from the hot sides. We've had a fire in it just about every night since purchasing it. We've had friends over for a few "social distancing" bonfires and they have been amazed how hot it burns and how little smoke there is.
I can't wait to use this all summer long and to get it out on the ice for a few ice fishing camping trips this winter!

We Love our Bonfire

Our bonfire was delivered on the day they said it would be and was packed nicely. Couple days later the unexpected cold weather came. 30° in TN on May 8 is just not right. The stove was easy to light and shortly thereafter we had a nice bed of coals and a warm beverage. The neighbors came over and we practiced social distancing and yet stayed warm. Expect to see one of these at neighbors house real soon. Looking forward to many nights sitting around the fire.

Bonfire Rocks

Just fired up the Bonfire for the first time...and it didn't disappoint. First, the stove arrived almost the next day after ordering. After unboxing and inspection everything was in order, so we fired her up. The stove was literally smoke free after the fire got going. As long as you keep the logs level or below the rim there was no visible smoke, and the stove put out plenty of heat. Let it burn itself out and in the morning had a fine ash that easily dumped into the trash. As long as you don't let the ash get wet the stove cleans up quite easily. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for family gatherings

Being honest, my teenage son is a pyro. He loves to go camping and having campfires. He has totally ruined my galvanized trash can by lighting fires in it, so I decided that it was time to act by buying the Bonfire. When it arrived I left it near the front door and when my son saw it, he let out a whoop of excitement! That night he indulged his pyro tendencies by cutting up some wood and started a fire with help from his younger brother (a budding pyro in his own right). Soon my daughters migrated outside and smores were started. It didn't take long for the whole family to gather around the fire, chatting and having a good time. I am completely thrilled with my purchase and how it becomes a gathering place for my family. Worth every penny.

Not a lot of warmth, but portable and looks great

The fire pit looks great. It is a stylish version of the washer drum fire pit. It’s portable which is a plus. It burns through wood fast and does not smoke much. Emptying it out is not easy as you will basically need to carry the thing upside down and shake it well to get the ashes out of the double sided steel. This will leave your feet and pants covered in ash. There is not much heat dissipation when gathered around the stove. So it feels more like a fire pit to watch the flames than to warm you on the heat. The inside grill (under the wood) also has badly corroded after just a few times use even as the fire pit has never been left outside.
