Bonfire on the deck

Set the Bonfire up on the wood deck with the included base. However, being a skeptic I placed a wax birthday cake candle under the Bonfire. I was concerned about the temperature the Bonfire might radiate down on the deck surface. Built and enjoyed a lovely fire with my wife and a glass of wine. Next morning the was nothing but fine ashes to dump out and the candle underneath was unmelted. Next night was smores with the grand boys over a fire that they had gathered the wood we burned. Good fun was had by all! More to come I'm sure.

BEST fire pit ever

Love this fire pit! I think it is the first time I have ever not smelled like smoke after sitting around one. Only smoke was when I first started the fire. Impressive with how fast the fire started and grew. The technology advertised absolutely works. My only recommendation is some sort of lid that deflects the heat down and out versus straight up. You have to be somewhat close to get the warmth you’d expect from a fire. Other than that, absolutely love it and highly recommend.

I cannot overestimate the pleasure brought to me by my Solo Stove Bonfire. Simple, effective, enjoyable, and wholesome, the Bonfire has mesmerized my husband and I and "rekindled" our primordial fascination with fire. The fire pit's design fully oxygenates the pyrolytic process, creating well-developed and beautiful dancing flames. Relatively portable but sturdily built, easy to clean and a joy to use, this was one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.

We love our solo stove bonfire! It is virtually smokeless and takes very little to get a good fire going. The best part is we can use it on our deck. It is definitely worth the cost to us

How could a round drum with no side vents produce an amazing, warm fire for all to enjoy? ...and how on earth could they prevent smoke? Smoke is a natural part of the campfire experience, right? You need to drop your clothes in the laundry for sure after a campfire...ALWAYS!! Also, you need to be prepared to chant "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit..." to get the smoke clouds to move around the fire to the next victim. Its part of the campfire experience!
The YouTube videos, the advertisements... They're all just part of a zealous marketing department whose annual objectives are to ensure increase sales and profits for the company. This stove cannot possibly do all they advertise it to do, right?
I was doubtful until I fired up my first backyard fire in my new Solo Stove. It had a 30 day, money back guarantee, so I thought, "what the heck! I'll give it try!"
I couldn't believe it! The fire started up almost on its own. I didn't have to fan the flame to get it to take off. And soon after the kindling took off, I was adding smaller logs, then larger ones - producing the best fire I've ever experienced in my yard. Sure, it smoked a bit at first, but that smoke was fairly brief, and soon we were sitting around a hot fire, with beautiful flames flickering and licking the side of the stove...and best of all NO SMOKE. The morning after the fire, I expected to smell last nights campfire when I opened the clothes hamper, but NOTHING!! There was no chanting around the fire to banish the smoke away. We were able to sit and watch the fire, enjoy a cocktail and each others company without having to jump up to avoid the smoke clouds, or wipe our tearing eyes. AMAZING.
The unit is compact and smaller. I was worried about whether or not I should get the bigger unit. However, for our purposes, I think the Bonfire is perfect for the backyard.
I'm so happy with my purchase. I look forward to many more backyard gatherings in my future with my Bonfire ablaze as a focal point.

Beautiful functional fire pit

I bought the Bonfire after purchasing a Solo Stove Campfire stove, and the Bonfire is excellent. I was looking for a pit that could be used both on our deck, patio, and portable for camping trips. The Bonfire works great, efficiently uses fallen wood, and is a beautiful talking piece for the patio as well as trips with friends and family.
