Bringing neighbor together - one fire at a time.

As a professional firefighter, I understand fire dynamics and fire flow a little bit better than most, and I must applaud you on such a fine product. The clean, smokeless flame, and the thermal integrity that allows the bottom to be stone cold, while the fire is roaring, is remarkable. In fact, when I debuted my Solo Stove Bonfire this memorial day weekend, I had the most amusing experience. My neighbor was also having a bonfire that night, and our two yards are situated so that we can see each others yards. He had his family over, and when it started to get dark, they set up their traditional fire pit to gather around. Not too long after he had started his fire, the smoke from his fire pit drove all but the hardy away from their fire. His father-in-law remarked that how clean our fire looked, and we must be using very dry, seasoned wood for our fire to be so robust. I laughed and explained to him that we were using the newest technology in fire pits, and ironically the wood we were using was actually pretty wet. In fact, I told him to bring over the wettest piece of firewood he could find in their pile, and I would toss it on our fire. He brought over a log that was, by comparison to what we had been burning, pretty dry. So much for his theory that it was the wood! I also demonstrated that none of our clothes had the heavy smoke smell that theirs did. At the end of the night, there was so little ash in the Solo stove that even I was taken aback. And within 30 minutes, the entire stove was cool to the touch! Needless to say, you will probably be getting a few orders from the witnesses from both parties, who gathered around our Solo Stove Bonfire for the rest of the night.

Bonfiire works as advertised.

This stove is easy to light, burns great and down to ash, nice and clean burn, great heat, and no smoke once it heats up ( which happens very quickly ). I was surprised that once it's going and you throw a big dense heavy log on it it's burning in a matter of seconds. It's because of the way it's vented and the draft it creates feeding lots of oxygen from the bottom up. Big crisp clean flames. Used it three times over Memorial Day weekend and my clothes didn't smell of smoke, and I sat pretty close to it. And it's portable! It will get a lot of use in my backyard.

Perfect non-perfection

I don't believe in perfection..... But this Solo Stove bonfire is PERFECT. It's designed well, built well, works perfectly. In the week it's been in my back yard, we've probably torched nothing shy of a chord of wood. It kicks out solid heat, operates well in wind, and the best part- no residual smoke or soot.
Everyone that's been by the house to enjoy it with us has the same comment- watching the flames come out of the upper vent holes is mesmerizing and relaxing. Best part is there's no real clean up, because everything gets combusted.

smokeless fire pit

Had a stainless steel washer tub fire pit. nice but everyone smelled like smoke afterwards and you were always trying to escape the smoke. This fire pit burns the smoke before it escapes the top and gives us a hot and near smokeless fire.

Bonfire solo

Works well. I purchased with the intent of using as a back country grill also. Chunks of hickory or whatever you like to grill on and a stable grill on top. I'm having a welder fabricate a stainless frame with a removable grill. Handles on frame and a grill about 4-6 inches further from heat. As is, it works good with a grill just gets too hot and you cannot add wood easily. Great product as designed however..... The Fire ring on top is too flimsy, but that's nick picky.

AMAZING

I was hesitant to spend the money, but after camping this weekend I have no regrets. This thing is built like a tank, burns more efficiently than anything I have ever used before. After 3 full days of burning, there was nothing left but ash.

Love it!

Just got it last weekend and fired it up for a gathering on the patio. This thing is awesome. Can't add a lot that other reviews haven't already said but it performs as advertised. We were all amazed at the heat it puts off with very little smoke and the flames are mesmerizing to look at. Highly recommend the Bonfire!!
