Bonfire Excellence

I have used just about every solo stove since the inception of the Lite. The Bonfire does Not disappoint. It is the perfect size for the backyard and family get together's. Easy to carry and setup. Just like the other solo stoves, it burns everything down to ashes. I use it just about every weekend to sit by, relax, and enjoy roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Nice to watch that secondary burn as the flames emit from the top side holes. It will last a lifetime.

Does that work?

I sat at our camp site at Canopener, the first Airstream rally of the year, as people walked by to the activities. The most asked question was "Does that work?". Well it sat there with flames shooting above the rim and we were sitting around it. I guess it works.
The Bonfire is big enough for a fire pit. It is small enough and cleans up each time to be inserted into the bag to be carried inside the Airstream. I could carry it in the truck but the bag makes it nice. It uses less fuel than an open fire burning up all of it to ash if you let it burn down over night.
The Bonfire focuses heat up making it good for cooking on sticks, grills or other suspension devices. Much like the small solo stoves, but in a big way. I have a grill on a stake that rotates over the stove for grilling or pan/coffee pot use.
The only problem with the heat is that if it is cold you get most of your heat from the flame above the rim. Yes there is some radiant heat from the "can" but it is reduced by the convection insulation. Your feet might be chilly. The cooler can temp was good when our retriever put her nose on the skin...... no damage but she gives it a little more space. You can't see the coals burning from your chair unless you are real close.
Most folks left thinking they would look into getting their own Bonfire.

Perfect camping accessory

I have only had this stove a short time but it has been a wonderful purchase so far. It’s easy to carry with the tote bag. Light enough to haul along to all of our adventures. We love being able to decide where we want our campfire to be at our campsites and not where the park decided the fire ring should go. Looking forward to many years of campfires and memories with the bonfire solo stove.

Damaged out of Box

I had my first fire a day after receiving. Fire started with little effort and put out some major heat with little ash in the morning. I gave it 4/5 stars only because the top ring arrived with a dent in it. So much for their quality control.

Very pleased with the our Bonfire. It put out great fire, and the secondary burn is awesome. The stand keeps it cool enough that you can put on any surface. I would recommend it to my friends and family.
