This pit is exactly as advertised. Easy peasy to get started with very little material. Easy to handle, very little smoke, easy clean up. Love everything about it. I got 2 stoves and all the sticks and stuff too. All works amazing!

Worked perfect on our porch at our ranch cabin. Usually to windy for a regular fire pit. The bonfire contained the smoke well. We are very pleased with the investment.

Really Intense Fire Pit

I recently took the plunge and ordered a Bonfire fire pit. The cost kind of blew my mind away at first, but I was intrigued by the technology and reports of solid construction I read. Before I ordered the fire pit, I actually ordered instead a Solo Stove Lite for my camping/backpacking trips. The performance of the Solo Stove Lite convinced me that the concept was sound. Upon receiving the Bonfire I was impressed by the solid build and construction of the fire pit. It lived up to the other reviews I read. I also appreciated that it came with a big bag for protection and carrying. Performance wise, we did have smoke at first which I think was to be expected until the fire really started to heat up and achieve that secondary burn. What I did notice was that even though there was some smoke, the smoke seemed to rise relatively straight up. This is contrary to my previous experience with other fire pits and camp fires where the smoke will meander around and you need to move out of the way of the smoke. You could argue maybe that it just wasn't windy this day, but I believe part of the construction encourages airflow to feed the fire from the bottom and go up (instead of air flow in/out from just around the fire). Anyway, like I said once the fire gets going much of that smoke disappears and you can just feed in split logs to keep it going.
