I've had the Bonfire for about 1 year and have used it in the backyard. It really does eliminate the smell of smoke from clothes once the fire is started and it gets very very hot. I usually need to stand about 3 feet away. I fill the Bonfire to the line of holes and once the fire is going it roars! It is mesmerizing. I have the stand and it helps lift it off the ground. Best improvement I've made is I use the lid from a regualr sized galvanized metal garbage can (think Oscar the Grouch) to put the fire out when winds kick up or its time to go inside. I strongly recommend the lid as a safety measure and a way to put the fire out almost immediately. ATTN: Solo Stove, please make a lid that can be used to suffocate the fire if needs to be put out in a hurry. I will gladly test for you, free of charge.
I have the Solo Stove Ranger fire pit being delivered today with the screen and a stand. I plan on using the Ranger for camping trips in my teardrop trailer. The smaller size will fit in the galley and the screen should help control embers floating away and starting an unwanted fire elsewhere. Hopefully I can find a smaller garbage lid to keep with the Ranger ;)
Overall, cant recommend it enough. Friends don't appreciate the Bonfire until they see it for themselves. It roars just eating pine cones and twigs and works exactly as advertised.
I hope to get the Yukon one day. I'm interested to see if the Yukon needs "too" much wood to really fill and get the gasification benefits. I thought the Bonfire was going to be too small to appreciate on a spacious patio but it really hits out of its league!

The perfect gift

Debated if this would be the right Christmas gift for my son's family. They are avid campers and enjoy the outdoors. During a recent visit I overheard them talking about the Bonfire. So, I surprised them by having one shipped to their house. Total excitement as they opened it up and tried it out on day one. The pictures they sent told the story along with their one word summary... "AWESOME". They are very particular about their outdoor equipment and gear, so for them to label it "awesome" speaks volumes. From my perspective, an easy online transaction and prompt shipping.

Best Christmas gift I have received

The Bonfire lights up quickly, is easy to move, and looks so pretty. It cools off super fast so it can be moved into a garage or covered to keep out the rain and snow. I look forward to bonfire time in the evening, it's a great way to unwind and relax. So grateful to my sister for giving this to me for Christmas, I can't wait for her to visit and enjoy it with me.

Why did I wait so long!

I absolutely love drinking my coffee on the weekends outdoors by an open fire. I have a modern backyard design and a traditional "fire-pit" just didn't work. When I first saw the Solo Stove I thought "that might be the right fit" - fast forward, I ordered a bonfire and all the accessories and I literally was mad that I didn't act on it sooner. For me it's a perfect fit; the easy of use, the look and portability is perfect - #IheartMySoloStove

I have been eyeing this thing for a while. I have terrible sensitivity to smoke and wanted a firepit that I could actually enjoy. So glad I finally pulled the trigger on the Solo.
