Best Choice for an Electric Range

I recently had a Samsung electric range that broke down and would not heat up. I decided on the Frigidaire Gallery electric range as a replacement and I couldn't be happier. Since switching to Frigidaire, the stove elements and the oven get up to temperature faster than my old electric range. It has a larger bottom drawer as well which is a plus for storing baking sheets. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a new appliance.

Nice Addition to our Kitchen

I’ve been using this new stove for about a month now. The burners heat up quickly as does the oven. I like that I have the convection option for baking. The one flaw is how easily the ceramic top marks. I’ve been extremely careful and still there is one deep scratch which I have no idea how that happened and other micro scratches from burners I only used a few times. The cooktop could be better quality.

For an electric range it heats up and boils water very fast compared to my last range. The oven also heats well and retains heat nicely and the built in food probe is a game changer.

Great fit - be aware of the cooling fan!

We've had this oven in place as a replacement for the possibly 30 year old gas range we inherited when we bought our place - it got delivered a few weeks ago and we've been using it daily since. I love the oven. The top burners get hot fast and heat evenly, and they're very easy to clean.
2 tips - definitely "burn off" the oven before your first use by heating it to a high temp on the bake and broil settings as there is a fair bit of residue from manufacturing that creates smoke the first time you use it. Second tip is be aware that there is a separate electronics cooling fan in this unit which is LOUD. It is the only reason this unit loses a star for me. If you bake at a high temp (450+), this backup fan will turn on to try and preserve the life of the electronic controls, but it is about 4x as loud as the actual convection fan (which us almost undetectable) and runs for 15-20 mins after the oven turns off. I had to search around the net about this a lot to figure out that it is an "expected" sound for the unit to make because it was initially really disturbing to hear from an otherwise very quiet unit.
All this said, I bake, broil, and cook a lot, and the only time I've triggered that backup fan was doing the initial burn off, so it shouldn't be much of a nuisance to the average home cook!

Very good stove. Still learning about all the features that my old stove did not have. Would be a perfect stove if if there were some plugs on the top though so we don't have to reach around to plug things into the wall receptacle.
