I hoped for more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump was fine. Full stop. I expected it to be a wearable hands free device based on the name but you still had to carry the motor around and it was only mobile if you also connected the battery pack that takes 8AA batteries (!!!) and didn’t even have a long run Life. However, unlike with my other more portable devices, I didn’t have any latch issues and it didn’t have a negative impact on my milk production.
It is an okay pump, but just a little behind on the tiles in my opinion.

Easy to Use Hands Free Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this Hands-free Pump. Overall the pump was very easy to use, simple to put the pieces together and get started, as well as easy to clean. I really enjoyed being able to pump with any nursing bra or tank, rather than needing a specific pumping bra to change into. This pump also provides the option to pump on the go, far more discreetly than a traditional pump, which is an important feature. It's also much easier to multitask, and pick up baby as needed compared to a traditional pump. Due to the shape of the collection cups, and with condensation as you pump, it's a bit difficult to tell when your milk stops flowing; it's also hard to know how much you've pumped until you transfer into a bottle. Ideally, I'd love for the cups to be marked with the ounces so you don't lose any milk while transferring. I'm happy to have this pump as well continue our breastfeeding journey!

Absolutely loved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted the Mendela Pump in Style Hands-free, gifted by Mendela and the stellar product testing panel. This pump is super cool and convenient as it is battery powered, but works just as well as a regular breast pump. This breast pump is easy to wear and easy to cover with just a regular shirt. It has a decent sized capacity despite its sleek design.
I love how I can throw this breast pump in my purse or diaper bag. It is so great to bring on the go, and lets me be ready to pump at any time. The suction is good and it fits my breasts well. It is super quiet as well which is a must with a new born. I like that I can have it on and still be around my baby and not disturb her.
This pump made multi tasking super easy! The hands free design is such an awesome feature. I think my favorite thing about this pump is how easy it is to use and how much milk I got as a result of using it. I definitely have increased my supply.
Overall I think this product is a must have for new moms. The design is sleek and modern and it easily fits in my purse. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a breast pump that is modern and effective. Love it overall!

Its was alright

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel and I thought the pump was just alright. It does not seem that hands free as you still need to carry the charging pack around with you, albeit smaller.
The suction strength is quite good and I appreciate the transparency of the outer shell. However, I did think that it was a bit hard to take apart when attempting to clean the parts.

Hands free pump in style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was able to try out this hands free pump in style breast pump! I love how compact the design is, how comfortable the suction and fit is, as well as the overall discrete style and sound of this pump! The only real complaint I had about it is that after I was finished with a pumping session, there would be a few drops of my milk remaining in the nipple flange instead of in the cups. This made it tricky for me to hold and disconnect simultaneously. I also had to be careful when pouring the milk into a bottle/bag since I didn’t want to waste the milk still left behind in the flange part. I loved the ease of cleaning and minimal parts! I also enjoyed how I could type or even drive while pumping-definitely lives up to its hands-free name! I will most definitely continue to use this pump with some caution when it comes to take down and transferring my milk.

More subtle hands free pump that works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty good hands-free pump and has some nice features! The pump itself is strong and I found that it was comfortable once in the right position and had plenty of suction to maintain good milk supply. I wish the pump itself was smaller so that it could fit in a pocket because even though the cups fit into your bra the pump itself is still pretty cumbersome and obvious. My only other concern was that although I could see the level of the milk in the cups, they weren’t clear enough to really be able to see my nipple position after pumping for a bit due to fogging. I did really like the way you could easily pour the milk into bags after pumping through the spouts and the few pump parts were very easy to clean and reassemble. Overall a pretty good hands-free pump! Definitely able to do many other things at my desk while pumping! Thanks to Stellar Product Testing for providing me with this pump to try out!

Great as a back up for around the house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump. Overall, this pump worked about as well as the other pumps I have used in the past. It has a sleek, comfortable design, and I enjoyed the discreetness of not having the collection bottles hanging from the bottom while pumping. I was able to move around the house while pumping if I had to, but I would not consider this “hands free.” The pump itself has to either be plugged into an electrical outlet or plugged into a battery pack, so you’re either stuck next to an electrical outlet or you have to carry around the pump plus the battery pack which can be difficult. A rechargeable battery inside the pump itself would be a huge upgrade. It is also very loud! When the suction is turned up and the pump is resting on a harder surface not only does it make a lot of noise, it also vibrates very loudly. The flanges are very comfortable. It is hard to see alignment when putting them on, but I never experienced any sort of pinching or discomfort causing me to have to readjust. They are designed to be able to rotate to see how much milk you’ve collected, but it’s almost impossible to tell when you’re done expressing milk. Typically I pump until I notice milk stops dripping into the collection bottles, but at least for me, it was impossible to see when I was actually done. My biggest struggle was having the collection cups leak once removed from my breast. The cup itself has an o-ring which seals it shut, and I had no problem with that part. Once I took the flanges off and set the cup on the counter, milk inevitably spilled out of the opening that my nipple was in, milk that was stuck behind the membrane that hadn’t made it into the collection cup. As I poured the milk from the collection cups into a bottle or bag, more milk would spill from the flange opening. Eventually I got a pattern down where I had to have the bottle or bag open and ready, and as soon as I disconnected the pump flanges I immediately rotated them sideways to empty that little bit of milk before it spilled on the table. As far as milk supply, I noticed a decrease in the amount of milk I was able to express when using this pump compared to my other daily pump. I also could only use this pump with specific bras that were able to be loosened. I couldn’t use it with my pumping bra because it was too tight. Overall, the pump was effective at expressing milk and it is comfortable, but it was not any better than any other pump I have used and in my opinion, the cons of this pump are not worth making it my primary daily pump.

So easy to clean

I have been pumping in conjunction with breastfeeding for four months now. I love with the Pump in Style Hands-free pump I am no longer tied to a plug in. It fits comfortably in my nursing bra. I am able and to put the pump remote in my pant waistband or pocket. I have been able to wash dishes, do laundry, vacuum, and mop/sweep. Also is a life saver to use in the car to and from my way to work. It’s so easy to use, great output, and oh so easy to clean. The ease of cleaning it has to be my favorite part. Very simple, and all parts are easy to take apart or assemble. I will say I am able to get more milk from my plug in pump. But not a huge amount more, so the Pump In Style Hands-free is still a great alternative.
