Has potential but not my favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a little split in terms of what I think about this pump. The collection cups are fantastic- they fit really well, comfortably, and discreetly. They hold a good amount of milk, and are easy to pour from, clean, and reassemble. I’m less impressed with the actual pump. I’m not sure that it gives the suction I need or am used to- and that was compounded by there being no visual indicator of current pump strength. I had to press + or - and just guess based off feel- which isn’t particularly the best idea. Size? Portability? Great, no real issues, especially if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s just the pump strength and functionality I’m less impressed with. I’m grateful I got to test this product out as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel- so that I could have the opportunity to review the newest item on the market.

Perfectly okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a simple but effective hands free breast pump - this is it. The pros are that It fits really well in your bra - freeing your hands for other tasks, limited parts for quick and easy assembly and cleaning, and the option to plug in or use batteries. The cons are the pump is very simple - it doesn’t show pump time or pump strength, and the cup storage is a bit small. Overall - this is a good option to throw in your rotation to use as needed.

Helpful breast pumps to use with any bra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pump in Style Hands-Free is a good alternative to consider than the traditional breast bump since you don't need any special maternity bra to pump. It's easy to place into position on your breast within your bra; you might need to loosen your bra straps a bit to make more room.
I was hoping this model would give me more freedom to move about while pumping, but there isn't too much of a difference from the standard breast pump as you still have to carry the main pump compartment around. Also, if you choose to use the battery pack (as opposed to plugging in the electric cord), you'll need to replace the AA batteries every so often. One set of batteries lasted me about 1-2 weeks. In terms of milk supply, it did a good job of pumping out milk that is comparable to my other standard pump.
I did appreciate that you could hide the pumps in your bra under your shirt. One room for improvement though is the opening of the cups for cleaning. The tabs at the bottom of the cup to open takes a good amount of effort that I found to be inconvenient.

Hands free and fancy free

It was a great treat to be able to multitask while building my supply for my little one for when I go back to work. Hands free and discreet, this pump did the trick and was easy to clean after use. I plan on keeping this with me at work so I can get more done on my pump breaks. Thanks to Medela for making magic happen for this working mama!

Comfy and Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a busy, nursing mama I was thrilled when the Stellar Product Testing Panel offered me a chance to give my opinion on Medela's Pump in Style Hands-Free! I was skeptical as other hands free pumps didn't seem to empty me and hurt my supply but I was so excited when I got 5 oz out on my first mid day pump!! This is by far the most comfortable from fit to small features such as the direction of the tubing. The parts are minimal, easy to clean & easy to assemble. It made for quick sessions from start to finish and with the battery pack I was able to move around and get things done! The cups are super lightweight even when full and I experienced ZERO spillage when transferring to bottles & bags!
The pump is quiet though bulky compared to other styles but more effective, I feel. And while the cups are lightweight I wish they were a little flatter. I loved being able to see the position with my nipple and the flange options were really good as well. Overall I am in love with this pump and it's quickly worked its way up to #1 in my breastfeeding arsenal!

Nice pump for on the go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been breastfeeding/pumping for over 5 years. I am 8 months postpartum with baby #3 and solely pumping/ bottle-feeding, so I'm pumping 3-4 times a day to provide an adequate amount of milk. My first impression of the Medela Pump in Style hands-free breast pump was that it is sleek and a comfortable size for use at home or on the go. It is much quieter than my other breast pump, which was a nice feature. The hands-free cups are easy to use and comfortable. Great for exclusively pumping. They are easy to take apart, clean, and reassemble. I use it quite often on the go, especially in the car. My supply wasn't impacted negatively at all by using the different cups. My one and only issue is the cost of the hands-free cups. I need multiple cups/accessories to use daily or I'm washing them multiple times a day and that's just too much work, especially with other children to care for. These hands-free cups are pretty expensive to buy extras. I was happy to find that my other accessories can be used with this pump, just not handsfree, which is fine for me. I absolutely recommend this hands-free pump.

Good Quality Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Pump In Style Hands Free from Stellar Product Testing Panel for free in exchange for an honest review, and honestly, this is a quality pump. I have tried many different brand pumps and this one holds up well in competition to other brands. The body of the pump is light enough to carry with you so that you are hands free, however, if you're looking for something you wouldn't need to carry it around, keep looking. I enjoyed the compact design of this pump and how effective it was at pulling my supply. I overall really enjoyed this and would recommend this to other breastfeeding individuals.

Strong suction but cumbersome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the hands free pump from the Stellar parent panel. The pump has great suction and was comparable to other pumps I’ve tried in terms of effectively emptying. I liked the comfort of the collection shells and the fact that you could use one at a time or both.
The motor is quite large and either needs to be plugged in to the wall or attached to the battery pack. I opted to use the battery pack thinking it would offer me more mobility but it did not. The motor and battery hooked together are cumbersome and heavy, not something that can easily be tucked in a pocket and toted around. The pump is technically hands free because the shells don’t require you to hold them in place but I wouldn’t say that this pump offers any more benefit than a traditional pump because of the bulkiness of the battery pack and motor. Additionally, the battery pack requires 8 AA batteries that only lasted 3 pumps before needing to be replaced.
I also found that while the shells were easy to clean they were difficult to disassemble and reassemble and the tubing connection seemed awkward and not a great fit.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this as a hands free option but because it had effective suction it would be a good option for someone looking for a traditional pump.
