I bought this shaver about a month ago and have used it regularly. First let me say that no 'clipper' style trimmer is going to cut as close as a blade. This comes as close as reasonable possible. I handles well and I like that it is water proof. It is easy on your face, with out the irritation some electric shavers can give you. Were it could have been better is to have a lithium battery instead of nicad. That almost guarantees it will hold less and less of a charge over time. Phillips should not have went cheap here. Two or three extra dollars would have been worth it. Lastly, the replacement heads aren't cheap, but so far seem to last. Great prep for a manual or electric shave or if you don't mind a little stubble. Of course the grooming attachments work well.
Pros: comfortable easy to use., compact nice for travel.
Cons: battery type is a concern for long durability., replacement blade cost and availability
I would recommend this to a friend!

Look Elsewhere

I have had this product roughly three months now, and I have tried to give it every opportunity to meet expectations.
On my first use, I attempted to trim my beard using one of the combs. The comb failed to prevent the blade from trimming too closely, and I had to shave my entire beard because there was a strip missing in the middle of my cheek.
I have since used the product weekly to shave around my beard. The results have continued to be poor. The blade is inconsistent on removing hair. Even long, slow strokes against the grain leave patches and missed hairs aplenty. I am left with highly irritated skin after having to make so many passes over my skin just to get a presentable look. The blade is supposed to last 3-4 months, but I do not see that happening even with only being used once a week.
I recommend looking elsewhere if you need a product to use regularly on grooming any type of facial hair.
Pros: rechargeable battery
Cons: poor consistency

This thing is great for the peach fuzz on your moms upper lip, other than that you might as well give it to your girlfriend with no blade.

Hi there. We are sorry to hear that the OneBlade did not meet your expectations. We can imagine this is disappointing. The OneBlade is designed to be an all-round tool for shaving, trimming, and styling your face. Because of this, it does not shave as close as a traditional blade. We hope that this clarifies it a bit. Should you have any questions, you can reach out on our social media: Twitter (@PhilipsCare) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/philips). We appreciate you taking the time to give us this feedback.

My favorite electric razor

I used to buy electric razors between $200-$300. When my last one died my wife asked if I'd try one she'd heard about from a friend whose husband used it. For less than $50 I wasn't expecting much, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. Not gonna lie, it did take a week or so to adjust, but once I did I just absolutely loved it! I get a close shave without getting razor bumps and trimming my beard and mustache are a thousand times easier than with my previous razors. I've been using it over two years now and can't imagine using anything else. When it eventually dies I will immediately buy another one for sure. Great product!!!

Did not live up to my expectation.

I've used various razors by Philip Norelco for years. When I was in the market for a beard trimming razor, it appeared that this razor would do the trick.
At first, things went smoothly. I loved how close to the skin this razor got without giving me razor burn. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. I decided to completely shave my beard. I got to one cheek before it completely DIED. I was furious. Luckily, I had my old razor to help me out. I let it charge overnight and the next morning nothing had changed. This was a week ago. It now will no longer charge at all, no matter the outlet. Threw it in the garbage because I was so let down by this razor. Completely 100% disappointed and a total waste of my money. Had I known this would happen, I would've spent my money on a different razor. As the saying goes: That's the way the cookie crumbles.

The device itself is nice but the blades are so cheap and break easily of course that is what they want so you have to buy the replacement blades. Buyer beware!

Thank you for sharing your honest review about our OneBlade. We're sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with this appliance, and can imagine this represents an inconvenience for you. Allow us to offer some potential solutions for your case. First, please make sure to clean the appliance after each usage to make sure there are no hairs or debris on the blades. We would also recommend fully charging the OneBlade for 8 hours for optimal results. Finally, please know the shaver blades should be replaced every 4 months or when it no longer provides the shaving or trimming results you expect. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us on Facebook (@Philips) or Twitter (@PhilipsCare). We're here to help!
