My Second WORX’s weed eater (Line does feed)

Good morning,
This is my second (WORX’s) weed eater in less than 2 years. “Every time”, I replace the OEM WORX spool line, the line will no longer feed. I have replaced the spool’s with several different WORX’s spools (I thought maybe the spool is bad), which cost me more money. Even still after replacing several different spools the line will still not feed (:-(. The one benefit of this device is that it is lite weight. I may consider looking for a different edger. I not only edge my driveway but I edge my sidewalks as well. Sorry WORX’s but I’m kind of disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your honest review. We hate that you have experienced this with the spools of trimming line. Since WORX is a green company, our grass trimming line is biodegradable and it will melt when exposed to heat and the elements. We recommend trying fresh spools and storing them away from heat and moisture to avoid sticking and melting. In order to use your automatic line feed system, you must first remove your battery, then manually feed the line about 2 inches out at the bottom. Feeding the line out this small bit is to ensure you can tell if the line has fed out or not. Once this is done, place the battery back on the tool and, while running the trimmer normally, click on the line feed button several times WITHOUT letting go of the trigger. This will cause your trimmer to turn on and off repeatedly, but once you click the button several times, you will be able to notice at the bottom that your line has fed out normally. Hopefull these will last me a while as I get better and better at using the trimmer! The trimmer is the easiest of all the ones I've tried to operate it. And it's not heavy.

Strong Cord In Small Package

The cord is so strong that my chain link fence is no match for it. I highly recommend the Worx weedeater for long lasting quality, and you can’t beat the price.
