I bought 2 packs of spools and they turned out to be a bad batch because the line keeps breaking every four to six inches!. Very stressed and annoyed!!!!

I have owned the trimmer for 3 summers. The original spools worked fine so I ordered the free spools. They are SO tightly wound they wrap around the trimmer spool( around the outside, when on the trimmer) they are not usable as is. Does anyone have a solution? I would NOT recommend the feee spools. The trimmer was great when the line was correct.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry about the spools being unusable. Sometimes, the spools if they are old or been sitting out a long time, can cause them not to work properly. Depending on the climate excess heat can also cause them to fuse together as they are biodegradable. A fresh pack of spools should fix that problem, and keeping them in a moderate room temperature environment should help as well.

Cord breaks to easily and will not spool out automatically as touted. It works but I wish I hadn't bought it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased my third string trimmer/edger and love them so much, the third one is to have just as a "spare" in case one eventually wears out. That's how much I love them. Being wireless is great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

String breaks

I have been having WORX string trimmers for 5 years, their string breaks far too easily. I spend more time re-threading the string than I do trimming. That material is far too brittle and can not handle StAugustine grass.
I have used Works products for over 15 years. The trimmer/edger is a great product I I purchased two packages of the spools a month ago because I go through them fast. They do not last like my previous purchase. Go back to your last supplier or the previous thread. These are junk. I am pleased with the trimmer but very disappointed with the quality of the replacement spools.
I got this string they looked great but The string is very weak..and it keeps rolling off every time I use the tool I would only recommend because it's Free
