We purchased a worx GT weed string trimmer with edger years ago (before the lithium battery units). It's still going strong, very easy to use and light weight. We have just purchased another one for my mother-in-law with the lithium battery. It's so light weight and easy to use it should work well for her.

My Edger/Trimmer was a Christmas gift 4 yrs ago and one of the best presents I have ever gotten. As a senior citizen that loves to have a nice looking yard, I was having difficulty due to a knee injury. With the my Worx trimmer/edger, I was still able to easily keep up with my lawn maintenance. Recently, I was helping my sister with her yard and they had a newer Worx trimmer with the lithium battery and it was even lighter and easier to use. Since the batteries are starting to reach their end of life, I am considering replacing with the new model. It also be nice to replace my electric Toro leaf blower/vacuum... the cords are a hassle and are never long enough to reach the far corners of the yard. Thanks for your wonderful products!!! Linda

A couple of years ago we purchased the WORX mower and the trimmer. My husband had a stroke and was no longer able to use our gas mower or trimmer due to the pull starts and the weights. These work great on the small portion of our yard next to our cookout area and he is able to handle them even though he only has the use of one arm.

Have owned the trimmer for two months, and used it for some heavy duty yard work that had gotten ahead of me over the Summer. When I took it out of the box I thought that this light weight tool would never have enough power to cut through the brambles and high grasses on my property. Power and long life battery performed beyond my expectations. This is a great tool. Neighbors see me in the yard and ask to borrow. I am going to start a loaner program. Excellent investment!

I bought the grass trimmer/edger and it works great. I have a small landscaping which is just the right size for this product. I think this will work fine for bigger landscaping jobs. I recommend buying the extra battery.
