I needed replacement spools for the first time and was a little worried it would be a bit of a hassle to actually get free spools for life. I was relieved and pleased to find out that the spools really were free, you could order six at a time, and it was really easy to order. In addition, it was super easy to remove the old empty spool and install the new spool. I love Worx stuff so far!
