It is a great product and the machine does what it is supposed to, the only issue I have is that it is always a hassle trying to get the string into the machine. It is always coiled up a funny way and doesn't want to fit into the slot designed for it. Other than that the product is great!
My first Worx purchase was the Trimmer/Edger, several years ago. It came in 18 or 24 volt capacity and I opted for the 24 volt as I was mowing and trimming three properties at the time. I quickly purchased a spare battery, as even the best batteries can't last hours, especially when my trailer requires extensive trimming in dense weeds. My main reason for preferring the tool is it's ease to switch from edger to trimmer, further gas powered tools require extensive care and maintenence. Turning a gas trimmer over to perform edger functions is not accurate and sometimes sloppy. My Worx edger has wheels that allow me to easily guide it down my sidewalk and makes for a quick and neat looking manicure. My brother in law used the tool at our trailer and ultimately bought one for his home. I saw that Worx had not stuck with it's design, but had improved the ease of switching the tool from edger to trimmer and had made the cutting path slightly larger. They also provided a 20 volt, replacing the 18 or 24 volt model. The battery was half the size of my 24 volt model and just as powerfull. Needless to say, I bought the newer model and love it more than the first. My trimmer is always in my car ready for action. I also have the TriVac, which I love and bought for my uncle, who can't say enough good about it, but that story is for another day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are there any available spools yet? Always says out of stock on replacements. Spool cover is cheesy. I like the weight & wheels on this one. Would like the battery to last longer
I am using WORX for more than 5 years now and one of the incentives that I benefit from since becoming a customer is getting free spools for my trimmers. Not only they work like a charm, but they are very easy to install, they are designed to slide in position only one way, therefor nobody can mess up the installation, never tangled or stuck, and it really only take seconds to replace the spool. Of course, you can re-spool it with your own line but why? One would be silly to even waste his time with such banalities. Hint: You can order 2 or 3 or more 6-pack spools and that should cover your needs year long. Happy trimming!
