Disappointed

Since I've recieved my replacement spools I have already gone through two. It's only been a month. I have to stop several times to pull the string out because it's breaking off. Today I got about a foot and a half of edging done and the string broke off twice. The first spool that came with my trimmer worked great! I did my whole driveway and sidewalk without having to fix it once. Not to mention I weed whipped my yard the whole season and never ran out until the start of this season. What is up!? So frustrated. I recommended Worx to a friend and now she's running into the same issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend storing the spools in a cool, dry place. The spool line is made of a biodegradable material so that it easily breaks down without impacting the environment. This makes the spools of line very delicate and in extreme weather situations, the line will begin to melt and fuse together. To combat this, the spools of line can be unwound and rewound to ensure that the line will properly feed when placed in the grass trimmer.

It insures that, unless you're sleeping, you won't run our of spools for your lawn tool. The charge for postage though seems to be a little high, but not too bad.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great selling point to a new trimmer

I recently purchased the 40v trimmer/edger to replace an older gas troy built model. Besides the great features and ease of use of the Worx trimmer the "free spools for life" was another selling point for me. The spools come pre wound and ready to put in right out of the bag. No more fighting trying to rewind the line and hoping it feeds itself out. Another Worx winning product

Not worth the cost of shipping

Poor quality lines break after just seconds of use. Too bad, because the trimmer is great. Would be worth it if they could improve the quality of the strings. Not sure why they are of such cheap quality now.
