I bought a WORX trimmer two years ago and have only had to get trimmer spools once, just recently. I will never have to buy spools again. You just can't beat FREE! I have also bought several other products from WORX and have no complaints. Now I have my eye on another trimmer, the 56V variety and you will never guess how much I will have to pay for the spools, or can you?

The originals with the trimmer and the first batch I ordered have a frustrating tendency to break off repeatedly in the trimmer. I like the light weight and rechargeable feature well enough to struggle through the many resettings of the string through the slot. I have the first of the new batch in the trimmer now, only one break off so far. I have one of the old batch left and if these continue to work better I will dispose of that one. It appears on the defective ones that they have somehow stuck together inside the reel, as if exposed to too much heat and melted together, Hope these do better, if not I will probably give up on the trimmer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm no longer able to carry the bulky gas powered trimmer, so the WORX battery powered trimmer is perfect for me. The battery life is good, but with the second battery provides me more than enough run time to finish my yard work.

This trimmer is so easy to use. It doesn't mark my fence and does a great job cutting. My only complaint is my husband and I are tall people and it isn't long enough for us to use for a period of time without it hurting our backs. If Workx would make it adjust a little longer I would give 5 stars!!!!
