The refills should also come with a new cover cap. After using up six spools, the cap is nearly worn out.

Some tips to ensure that your spool cap does not wear quickly is to not bump the bottom of the trimmer on the ground and try not to rub the cap against concrete or cement as that too can cause the cap to wear more quickly.
The spool cap covers are available on the website under the accessories tab, offered in a package of two.
Had seen these in use by neighbors but still hung on to my old electric adger..Surprised when SEARS no longer stocked replacement blades, even tho it was only two years old..Bought this machine and could not be more satisfied..
My WORX trimmer could not be easier, just slid in battery and press trigger. Adjustable handle makes it more comfortable to use. No more mixing or pouring gas, no more trying to start or keeping it running and no more winding line or bouncing to keep line out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the Worx combo of the trimmer, blower, and hedge trimmer way back in 2008 or 2009 but I can't exactly remember which year but it was no later than 2009. It was being advertised on t.v. and not yet in the stores. So far no issues whatsoever after 5 to 6 six years. The batteries are still going strong (non-lithium) and all the tools are still working great. I would make a design change on the trimmer because when I used it as an edger, it bends my right wrist slightly and it's uncomfortable and gets sore. I like the fact that these are powered by battery power and not gas.
